35$/hr for a rehearsal room with mid to low quality gear. Might as well pay the extra 15$/hr and go to a real studio.I called and booked a slot since the link to book online was broken. When I showed up the manager abruptly came in our room and said we weren't on the books. Poor booking experience and expensive for what you get in the room.

We are big fans of Parallel Sound Studio! My daughter and I both take lessons there (piano and guitar) and love it. The place is very family friendly and Jay and his team are happy to work around busy family schedules. The instructors are patient, have a great sense of humor and are helping our family to rediscover our love of music.

Great place to rehearse! very clean and organized and its in a safe location and is easy to get too. I've been to a lot of rehearsal studios and this is by far one of the nicest ones. The Drum kits are beat up (no pun intended), but IMO are suitable enough for practice. prices are reasonable too.

Great deal for full band rehearsals. My rock band practices here roughly once a week and it suits our needs perfectly. Like one of the other reviewers said, the gear isn't all brand new top of the line stuff, but does it need to be? I'm fine with the Yamaha Stage Custom kit in the room we usually use, and for hammering through our set once or twice it's more than adequate. We haven't tried to record here, so I can't comment on that, but Jay seems like he'd do a good job with it! And the rates for recording seem very reasonable. Speaking of which, the new owner, Jay, is a super nice guy. He's very friendly and we always find ourselves talking to him for a while before or after practice. We've practiced at another place closer to the city in the past but the gear here has been much more reliable. The last time we ended up at the other place, we couldn't find two decent working guitar amps to use for practice. My guitarists weren't too thrilled. I don't know that we've ever had an issue at Parallel. They've recently expanded to include a side area with rooms for private lessons and a large room that looks like it'd be good for hosting a small audience/party.

I have practiced there several times, and it's a great place to rent by the hour. In-house equipment isn't stellar, but what do you expect for this price? If you're at all picky, bring your own! It's easy. (I'd recommend that they invest in $20-40 drum heads more frequently, since they're a high wear&tear item). Vitaly is also great about communication and scheduling and making sure you're happy. This alone is ABSOLUTELY KEY in differentiating them from similar businesses. I would love to try them out soon for a simple recording project to see how it goes. I'm assured that have a full set of recording equipment and can accommodate different situations flexibly. Great value! Steve Yost

This place "is what it is." It's a budget rehearsal space for musicians who need a room for just a bit. It's got marginal gear on seat (poorly tuned and beat up drums with cracked cymbals on flimsy stands), beat up guitar and bass cabs, and a cheap PA, but you know what? It's like $20 an hour to go have a jam at. I give this four stars because they're great at doing what they set out to do - give people a jam studio. Quite honestly, this is a PERFECT spot for band auditions if no one has a rehearsal space. It's just cool that it exists. Recording quality... well, I don't know the rates, but I did a 3 song demo here two years ago with some young kids, and it certainly wasn't going to turn any ears, but again, it gets the trick done. I'd say check it out if you need a jam room for like 2 days. I should add that the staff that I did meet was REALLY, really nice and caring/ supportive to the young musicians.
