If your vehicle has a manual transmission then don't bother calling these guys. They rebuild automatics, and that's it. They don't replace, they only rebuild. They need to change their name to Interstate Only Automatic Transmission. I wonder what happens when they get 1/2 way in and figure out it can't be fixed and needs to be replaced? Do they load the parts on the truck and drop it off in your driveway with a 4 figure bill? I wonder.
In response to owners reply: You didn't work on my car because your guy on the phone said "no way" after learning it was a manual transmission. Full stop. For you guys to call yourself a transmission shop that doesn't fix transmissions was my point. I'm sure if you could fix a manual transmission your work would be splendid.

Extremely happy with Interstate Transmission. Three other shops couldn't figure out the issue with my transmission, but Dan and Steve did. Highly recommended. These are good people.

I just want to say i was completely lost & didn’t know what to do trying to fix my vehicle. i did a bunch of repairs based on what a mechanic was assuming was the problem & they were trying to get me to change my transmission saying the torque converter was bad. i ended up coming to Interstate Transmission to get a diagnostic done to check my transmission & torque converter checked & they were able to tell me my transmission & torque converter were great! They advised me that my engine was misfiring & not shuddering like i was told. Cylinders 1,3 & 4 were having problems. I replaced all 4 spark plugs & ignition coils & my car is running great again! Thanks Dan for your honesty & advice ! Thanks for saving me the troubles of possibly repairing something that wasn’t needed & pointing me in the right direction !

Great experience. Dan was straight and to the point. They were able to find the problem and didn't upcharge or fix what wasn't broken. Definitely need an appointment if you need service as they are very busy. I trust this shop.

I did the worst mistake doing a transmission for my tahoe at those guys Steve is un honest person since day one after paying him 4k for my transmission the work never done right I came back to him and told him the transmission doesn't look good he said just drive it for now and if you still feel something wrong bring it back I did bring it back and he put his worker Dany for a test drive he said you have miss fire it's not transmission problem I took it to three mechanics and changed all coils and spark plugs the problem still the same all mechanics told me you have a transmission problem I called Steve and told him what all mechanics said he told those mechanics they don't know what they say so I went to GM dealer after performing a diagnostic on my car they said you have transmission issue and they gave me a written results mentioning that I went to Steve and I told him this is the evidence from GM saying that the transmission is not right he said I don't wanna see it just bring the car and leave it her I did bring my car and left it for 2 days Steve called me and said come take your car I asked him what was wrong he said there was an issue with the converter he didn't charge me because it's still under warranty and he said if you still have the problem I dont wanna see you again because i have done it right I drove my car for 1 week and the same problem came back again the transmission is slipping and i didn't take it back because I know he is gonna ignore the problem because he said don't bring it back you have other issues I took my car to 2 other mechanics and they said you have a transmission issue I just wanted to tell people don't take your car to Steve he is un honest and un professional person and I dont know how he get a 4.7 stars I won't even give him 0 star don't believe this guy ever this is from my experience.

Complete professionals, honest and capable. Went above and beyond for my car to tell me I didn't need a new transmission after my mechanic told me I did. Not my first great experience with interstate, but the first one that didn't cost me a penny. Thank you interstate transmission.

This establishment replaced a transmission for us many years ago and did a fantastic job and warranties their work. They had been recommended by our regular mechanic as the only shop in the area that didn’t automatically recommend replacing a transmission without first seeing if it could be repaired.
Fast forward to 2024, and my Equinox’s transmission was slipping. We took it in and braced for the worst. Seems whoever replaced the transmission lines (and I believe that was the dealer) hadn’t added enough fluid. The added 2 quarts and it seems fine now.
And they didn’t charge us a cent for their valuable time and expertise.

My instinct led me to go to this workshop, looking for a solution for the transmission of my car and from the first moment I felt at home, despite not speaking the language, they made an effort to understand us, which I value a lot, and what to say On the professional side, my car is perfect and at an affordable price, the human quality together with the Professional means that I do not lose faith in people, thanks a million are 100/100.

Worst place ever...made an appt 2 weeks ahead....came at 9pm night before so they would have it to diagnose the next day. Day 1 no call no text...day 2 no call no text....I call...ok we will call you back .....day 3 no call......they never even looked at it....I brought it home and it's 100 times worse...they fuvked it up diagnosing whatever they did
