This is a very busy vet clinic. If you are looking for a place to bring to bring your pet on routine scheduled visits, they are great. But if an emergency arises and you need to be seen first thing (that day or the next) you likely won’t be. Our dog had an issue recently and we were told 3 days. New puppy was told they could see him in a coup months for first checkip

I started using this vet group this year as a result of a move. My cat is 10+ years old and required dental. The vet and dental team were so helpful! The vet went over any concerns and questions I had and were super helpful in making sure I was able to get in and get proper bloodwork done before the dental. They also calmed some of the anxieties I was having about putting my cat under for the dental, which I really appreciated. The dental person was incredibly kind and gave us an update during the surgery to let us know that my little guy was doing okay.I look forward to continuing to come to this vet in the future.

Amazing staff and the best care. So happy to have found them for our new pup. She isn't too happy to meet new people. So when she LOVED the staff I knew we were at the right place.

I never Ever thought I’d be giving Hillside this review, as up until this week, I’ve been singing the praises of this clinic to everyone I know, including all of my clients, as I am a professional Certified Dog Trainer with nearly 2 decades of pet industry experience, including leadership roles in shelters, dog daycare and boarding facilities, and my own business. Unfortunately I was experiencing a crisis and the staff was not up to that task. The two vets who own the practice were not present and the staff that was simply could not handle the situation properly. The vet who was present barely examined my puppy, could not answer simple questions, and neglected to address one concern entirely. And the overall energy in the place felt chaotic and annoyed. A tech took my other dog back for a vaccination, then just threw her back into the room. It was all as hands-off and transactional, with zero “patient care” to be considered. When I reported my experience to the office manager, she became instantly defensive of the situation and wasn’t really interested in hearing me out. I became Very angry and demanded a refund for the office visit fees. I sent an email to one of the owners describing my horrible experience. As someone who is a doctor and pet professional, as well as a business person, this man never even called me to hear me out or apologize for how rude his staff was to me. Rather, he emailed back, simply telling me to go find a new vet. So, please know this - when you choose Hillside, if you don’t like one of your visits and you get angry - they will tell you it’s all your fault! YOU will be ? to blame and the staff will be ? right! You will not find empathy nor will your concerns be addressed or heard at Hillside. And the staff will lie and exaggerate if you get angry with them because of it. If you want a say in your animal’s care, and you want the time you pay for to actually involve animal CARE, do NOT head to Hillside. Take it from a trainer! Your voice is won’t be heard … and if you try to communicate about the most important thing in your life when they don’t want to or they don’t like it - too bad for you and your dog because they’ll leave you in the dust.

Unfortunately had to put my furbaby down recently. The doctors and staff were so accommodating. They explained everything that was happening, they gave us the time and space we needed. They were so kind and sympathetic. They truly helped us make the right decision. If we ever decide to get another pet we will surely go back to Hillside Vet Clinic. Rest in peace Opti!

If you are looking for a vet that cares about their patients, this is not it. I have three LARGE dogs. A St Bernard, St/Shepherd mix and a Lab/Hound mix. My St. Shepherd has anxiety about coming here ever since we had her fixed (which they botched and my dog ended up with infection after infection). We had to heavily medicate her to have her seen for her normal shots/check up to try to ease her anxiety. We had to bring her three separate times (medicated) to try to get this appointment done because the Dr. couldn't figure out a way to examine my dog despite her having no bite history. Our last visit I even brought our dog trainers with us to try to help the vet but the vet refused to examine her or give her the shots saying she was too anxious (my dog was so medicated I had to help this 100lb 4yo in and out of the car). Hillside charged me for the full visit despite providing no care to my dog. I was disgusted they would charge for no services rendered. I questioned it and was told since it was a Dr. not a tech visit, I needed to pay. After challenging the fact that I shouldn't have to pay a fee for care that was not rendered, I paid it and left. A few weeks later I called to have my senior dogs meds filled who is 13 with arthritis and mobility issues and was told I had been discharged from their service because of my last interaction with them. They wouldn't fill my seniors scripts (shows how much they care about their patients) leaving me to find another vet to have to bring him to which is so hard to do with his medical issues. Between botching my poor girls spay giving her infections, to being incapable of examining her and now leaving my poor senior dog without meds, this place should be shut down.

I didn't have a great experience here. Granted my dog is difficult, but I felt like the vet barely examined him. I'm a first time dog owner so I had a few worries and I felt I was brushed off. Nothing was explained to me and they didn't make me feel very welcome. I felt rushed through the visit and don't feel my dog was really examined thoroughly. I'm on disability so I can't afford to just take him to another vet and keep paying for visits because my dog wasn't looked at properly. It has barely been a week and I've noticed signed of ear mites. I feel like if he was examined properly they may have seen the symptoms in his ears. I thought the vet could have been friendlier and listened to me a bit more or at least explained what they were looking for in the 5 second exam they didn't even look at the things I mentioned like his throat because he's so strong and pulls so hard and coughs every time he drinks .... They didn't ask hardly any questions. They said one day for the blood work to come back so my dog could get anxiety meds and they never called with results or put the script in. It's been about week now and they said one day...overall I wasn't happy.

I was able to have my guinea pig seen on very short notice. Staff were all wonderful and extremely helpful. The doctor did a thorough exam and discharged him with meds to treat his dental abscess. Would definitely recommend bringing your pet to be cared for here.

I'm not one to write reviews, but I feel like I owe it to this clinic to share my feelings about their practice because my experiences with them thus far have been fantastic. I'm one of those anxious, over protective pet parents that reads hundreds of reviews across various sites before even attempting to make an appointment. If that description applies to you, do NOT hesitate to schedule a visit here!Every single person whether it be a receptionist, vet tech, or Dr. Vasquez has gone above and beyond to make sure even my most fragile and sensitive animals have felt at ease. Frankly, they put ME at ease by being so kind, welcoming, and communicative. They way that they talk to and handle the animals in this facility is unmatched. Absolutely top tier level of care and communication.10/10 would recommend, especially for the other pet parents that want their babies interacting with professionals that clearly love and value them as if they were family!

Love this Veterinary practice. All 3 physicians (Campbell, Connolly & Vasquez) are incredibly compassionate providers. Ease of scheduling. Continuity of care. Specialty services (echocardiogram, EKG, etc) available to be scheduled with specialists at this location. A+++

They milk your money and don’t solve any issues. Once you display frustration for their lack of assistance… they defer you to another location
