They take forever to get back to me regarding an estimate. Over the phone before they sent someone to do a survey I explained that we would be packing ourselves and that we would move most of our stuff ourselves we just needed them for the larger items. They then gave us a quote of over $6000. Surveyor lied said the items would weigh over 10,000 lbs there is no way the items we need moved weigh more than 3,000 lbs. I tried explaining this to get the quote down but they said they will go by what the surveyor said rather than sending out another surveyor to get a more accurate estimate. Seriously 1 washer 1 dryer 2 beds 4 dressers 1 fridge 1 couch 5 chairs 1 table 1 coffee table. Does not equal 5 tons. Your surveyor is dumb.Got a much lower estimate from 5 college movers

We wanted to support local. Never again. Charged us for boxes we didn’t need. Broke furniture they did not offer to repair. Broken glass they said was our fault and $37/hour to gave THEM access our stuff during 9 months of storage. Receptionist was misinformed and told us many inaccuracies making this move overly stressful. Very disappointing

Great experience from move out to move in. Out of state move with all of our house belongings and cars. Highly recommend!! Steve and his crew, they were the best!!!

I would compare my experience with Castine Moving and Storage to my grandmother's funeral. It cost me way too much money and then gave my family a horrible service. I was forced to use this transportation company due to the contract my employer is under. Stay away for this place unless you like your personal possessions to be broken.

I was really happy to see a moving truck roll up indicating I have new neighbors. Now however 3 days later and trailer is still sitting right across from my driveway I am a little aggravated with the moving company. Trailer has been attached and detached from cab multiple times, however hasn't moved an inch. It wouldn't be an issue except roads are narrow and trailer makes it extremely hard to get in and out of my driveway.
