I've been living at one of their properties for four years. When I first moved in, my apt was in shambles and I dealt with egregious and persistent code violations that included broken windows, doors, flooring that was (and still is) coming apart, a bathroom sink pipe that exploded and flooded everything, a broken tub, and an insect infestation (wasps) that lasted an entire season. The complex itself is also literally falling apart, even though HCA just purchased it and supposedly renovated it in 2013 (which is why it was even stranger in 2014 to have my apt in such a state of disrepair). To this day, the tiles in my bathroom are coming apart and cut my foot regularly. They've been raising rents quite a bit the past two years, and if you protest mentioning the violations, the retort is, if you don't like it, maybe you should leave. The apt itself is very spacious and would be wonderful if it was just up to code. Affordable housing would be great, if management and the nonprofit would treat their tenants with respect and dignity, rather than as recalcitrant children when they dare complain about valid issues with their units. The only other (5 star) review from here is actually the president of HCA's mgt company. ETA: Update in 2022: II had to move in fall 2021 because HCA refused me a transfer to their building even though I am disabled and asked under Fair Housing as my current unit was exacerbating my health issues. HCA also refused to grant me even very low hanging fruit accommodations (like accessible fire alarms and trash bin). The place has super high turnover. We had 7 property mgrs in 7 years across 3 different mgt cos & several social workers--and HCA doesn't seem to have a process of continuation or hand-off....so if maintenance issues or RA requests get ignored--it's just not their fault it's the mgt that now no longer works there. Finally, HCA uses rat poison--the same poison responsible for killing a local bald eagle--as well as other wildlife, cats and dogs, and has harmed children--but they lied for 2 years saying they didn't when they do. They have ignored tenant concerns asking them to remove the poison.

I've been living here for three years and have been hassled by Management for minor cleaning issues. They complained about clothes and wires being on the floor after random inspections. I've also had issues with the trash shed.
Other than that, it's a nice apartment with a lot of room. It would be nicer if Management was more realistic.
