Started locking their door to the ATM so even if you have your bank card you can't use the ATM service when it's closed. Only started doing this when they switched to M&T. Why should I continue using your services when I can't access a 24 hour ATM?

Beware this bank at all costs while many Americans businesses as well as individuals are doing extraordinary things in this time of crisis this Bank is only concerned with prophet my home is worth three times what I owe on it I requested a modification on their website they then had me compile tons of paper and submit it ( I have another property and because of the pandemic modified my mortgage in the 2-minute phone call and I would like to point out that I didn't ask for the modification they offered it) After several months I received two things a denial and the bill for $450 for an appraisal that I was not informed I would be charged for or that they were doing it at all and I was never asked if I was willing to pay for it so the result of my many efforts is that on $450 further behind I have informed them I will not pay for the appraisal. this bank will promise anything to get your business once they have it if you get behind they will throw you under the bus So if you value your money or your home do not do business with this Bank protect yourself I think the best option is a credit union. Theses people are horrible and i Hope that what goes around comes around and the virus affects their lives stay safe support critical workers So after all the pain I'm forced to beg for money to pay them from friends and Families in the sell-off whatever I can to bring the mortgage current that is what I'm in the process of doing but their efforts just cause me damage and thank God for the governor freezing all foreclosures while this emergency is going on at least that will give me the time to bring the mortgage current don't give this Bank your money

The employees here are always gracious and extremely helpful! I feel welcome every time I walk in. This branch makes banking less stressful much more pleasant of an experience than I've had elsewhere.

deposited a large check. They didn't ask me which checking. deposited into wrong account and then transferred funds from one account to another, but never actually deposited checks so the money was just "missing". I caught it 3 days later. How do you not catch that. idiots.

November 2014 by Steven R
On November 28, 2014 I called the Amherst branch of People's United Bank to request the next payment amount due on my home equity line of credit. The bank employee "Angela" who took my call told me the wrong amount, an amount less than the actual amount due. Had I paid the amount "Angela" advised, I would have suffered a negative mark on my credit report and expensive late payment fees. I called back and spoke with supervisor "Sheryl" who tried to blame me for the problem because I had called the bank for next payment information instead of referring to the mailed statement (I'm at work, the statement is at home). She said "Angela" had looked at the wrong screen but supervisor "Sheryl" had the attitude that there was no problem at all on the bank's part, like it was no big deal. It looks like nothing is going to be done about this bank giving out wrong and damaging information.
