They don't care about their tenants. Crossman let problems with piping and laundry machines go unfixed for long periods of time. One time, a cop came to the door of my upstairs apartment because apparently the snow hadn't been plowed correctly....for more than a week. I had to continually call to get any progress on fixing the laundry machine, which has broken down several times and is still broken as I write this. A new property manager takes over in a few days and I pray that they are more professional and efficient. Crossman is truly incompetent and nonchalant about it.

Tom does not care about his clients, only his own daily agenda. Definitely the most unprofessional person I have ever come across that owns his own business. I HIGHLY recommend you save yourself the time and, more importantly, frustration of working with this man and find another company to do business with. It will be much more worthwhile.

Not reliable for snow plowing. 19.5 inches of snow over a two day period and no one showed up to plow. I emailed twice and called twice. Two times Tom assured me someone would come but no one did. I could not get out of my driveway and needed to cancel services for my own business due to being snowed in.

Crossman Properties did a spring cleanup for me along with some shrub removal. They did a great job and I highly recommend them. The owner Tom is also one of the most straightforward and honest business people I have ever worked with.

Renters, Students & Parents BEWARE! This guy Crossman is a piece of work who goes way beyond being arrogant and unprofessional. He takes advantage of inexperienced young people and has no remorse renting substandard housing that is not properly cleaned, maintained or safe. Crossman requires parents to co-sign as guarantors on his leases but does not want them to review the lease or advocate on behalf of their children when there are problems with the property. He won't even bother to respond! Aside from being dishonest with the Town and tenants, he is unwilling to communicate or negotiate to resolve issues that should be common business sense to anyone reputable. Crossman shows no concern whatsoever for his tenants' satisfaction or respect for their rights, nor does he exhibit any accountability or obligation to them. UMASS should NOT be including any of his properties in their off-campus housing listings given this behavior and history of complaints against him. Do yourself a big favor and avoid the hassle by going elsewhere.
