Amherst Nurseries provided spring/fall cleanups, snow removal and regular lawn maintenance for my property. They were professional and reasonably priced. John, the owner, went above and beyond to meet my needs for a spring cleanup on short notice. Snow removal was prompt. I highly recommend this company!Services: Yard work

Student. Visited the nursery for a tour with the owner. I felt welcomed and the owner was happy to talk trees, soil, wildlife, farm equipment and more. Insightful experience and I came away thinking that Amherst Nurseries cares about the quality of their product and about educating people.

Amherst Nurseries is not only an excellent company to use for landscape projects, landscape maintenance, and cutting your grass, but they are also environmentally minded and good community citizens. They use an electric tractor lawn mower and they donated and delivered compost for a Habitat for Humanities House. When we used them, they were very responsive and went out of their way to make sure every detail was taken care of.

I've called & stopped by at least a half dozen times. I'm a local landscaper in need of about 10-15 shrubs for a garden redesign in echo hill. Nobody has ever called back & nobody was there during the middle of the day in the middle of the week. Extremely disappointed as this area has few nurseries who can accommodate my clients needs.

It's my pleasure to recommend Amherst Nurseries for your next project! I used them to build two new paver patios, fire pit, and also did some landscaping around my pond. All the team members were well trained and professional. It's a super friendly, creative team lead by John, and they completed the project on-time and within the budget. I highly recommend Amherst Nurseries. We purchased 20 arborvitae a few weeks ago and were so impressed that we are having 20 more put in today. John is so easy to work with and his staff, Matt and Cam, were very professional, hard working and personable. Delivery was great, price was great and the product was great. We look forward to doing more business with John and his staff.

Wonderful experience with Amherst Nurseries. The owner John and his employees are very knowledgable. We purchased 20 Arborvitae and 4 Holly bushes for our property.. They are all beautiful and well cared for. John was extremely helpful and patient, answering our questions. He even went out of his way to deliver them to us on a tight timeline. Absolutely the best experience in the pioneer valley. Highly recommend.

I called three times from England to order a cherry tree for my sister in Amherst in memory of my late mother. They sent me a product list with no prices and on the third call ( having left messages ) John the owner said he was busy and when I said I’d call Hadley he said he’d encourage me to do that! Hadley garden center was most helpful and it took me fewer than 5 minutes to secure the sale and delivery. They lost a big sale

Contracted Amherst Nurseries to chip and haul away several large brush piles. They were responsive, provided accurate estimates of cost, and very professional. The crew that did the work was polite, listened to what we wanted, and worked efficiently. They did a nice job cleaning the site before the left.

We were in search of a tulip tree last fall. We found a healthy, gorgeous one at Amherst Nurseries! The added bonus was the helpful advice of John regarding planting and watering the tree. John is knowledgeable, accommodating, and thoughtful. We paid to have the tree delivered, and the delivery person was further proof that customer service is top-notch. It is now June, and the tree is thriving. We will definitely go to Amherst Nurseries if we buy another tree: prices are fair, the tree is healthy, and they're SO helpful.
