I became a client of Scott Ippolito many years ago when he had his salon in Danvers, MA. Another of his clients, a personal friend, recommended him to me after I had a horrible hair-damaging experience with another stylist. My hair had been stripped and over processed with bleach to the point that strands would break and fall off every time I shook my head. It was so damaged that the only thing we could do was cut it into a pixy and wait for it to grow back. Over the next year, Scott carefully nourished my shorn locks back to health. Scott's motto is that the health of his client's hair is his top priority. My hair has gone through many styles over the years and Scott accommodates my requests, but the one thing he won't do is anything that puts the integrity of my hair at risk. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Scott. I have been his client for a decade. In this time I have moved 6 times and 3 of these location were/are over an hour away. I have changed nail salons, brow threaders, doctors, dentist and just about all my other services, but I have continued to make the trek to see Scott. He is an extremely talented individual and I get compliments on my hair just about daily. Scott will listen to your wants and needs, like the time I cut a foot off of my hair for an oh so chic Bob, but for the most part he takes the reins and keeps my style with the trends and flowing with the seasons. Scott has been my hairdresser for over 20 years. I have never had any other hairdresser for this long. He is so knowledgeable about hair. He has been able to adapt the needs of my hair as I have aged from pre-menopause 40’s through to senior 70’s. HE KNOWS HAIR!! Many of my friends, relatives, and strangers have commented on my hair for how healthy it looks, to its color and highlights, as well as the style. Scott saved the day & my hair 16 years ago when my hair stylist called out sick on a VERY important day. We’ve been together ever since. With his recent move to Lawrence Allen, I reminded him I’d book a flight to anywhere every 3 weeks to keep my appointments if I needed to. He has become friend & family, and I cannot imagine another hair whisperer who could manage my hair & carry such witty, informed & fun conversation as he. Scott is a 5 star professional. This salon is sits in a great little spot in downtown Amesbury. There is free parking in a lot just around the corner. Scott is my stylist and has been for years. He is very skilled with all hair types and knowledgeable and up to date with industry products and equipment and trends. Most importantly he cares very much about his clients. You can't go wrong with the Lawrence Allen Salon.

Scott has been my colorist, cutter and stylist since 2007. Initial reason is his amazing knowledge and ability to cover my gray, blending the color without creating a notable line that’s very difficult to achieve (at least in my previous experience). He is even better at being a person and a friend who has become family. I highly respect and recommend him.

I’m not sure where to start. Scott has been my hair guru for over ten years. Over that time, I’ve gotten married (he does amazing updos), had a baby (yes, Scott gave her her first haircut), lost a ton of hair (yaaaaaaaaaay, baby hormones) and grew it back. Through it all, Scott has supported every choice every change in color and styling, educating and guiding me. He’s no ordinary stylist. Whatever he does, he does incredibly well, and from what I’ve seen and experienced, he basically does it all. I know I’m biased, but, come on, he’s kept me feeling beautiful with easy to maintain hair for over a decade. I’d say that’s something to talk about.Services: Hair highlighting

Worst haircut I ever got in my life. Specifically asked for a pixie and got this weird bob cut. It was something that was meant for an old lady and he put tons of product in my hair and parted it down the middle. Pretty sure a pixie shouldn't be parted down the middle. I came out crying. Don't come here of you're not an old lady.
