“I had great experiences at this USPS in Holyoke. The lobby is clean. The people there are very friendly and helpful. The clerk Cathy helped me fill the mailing label when I sent international packages. She also patiently explained what's the significance of having a signature from the receiver when I went there to mail important documents.
By the way, the people in the office know how to do prepaid mails.”
“The staff at this Post Office are always professional and friendly, even the trainees. They helped me navigate the Passport process due to the Covid restrictions with ease. I actually go out of my way to go there.”
“A package I sent to Portland, Oregon, from Portland, Oregon, got sent to Chicopee, MA. I phoned to see what procedures would ensue to get the package back to the right recipient in Portland, OR. The man who helped explain the procedure to me was so helpful and clearly explained to me the return procedure. Thanks!”
“My experience at this post office has been very pleasant, the wait is never long, and the staff are friendly and nice especially the young lady Iris, she is kind and gentle with a sweet smile that left me smiling aswell. “After I sent my last set of postcards at the post office in Washington Depot I needed more post card stamps for the next step. This post office was not out of my way and at 10:00am, they're open. Easy! The clerk was helpful, friendly and efficient though he had to go in the back to hunt up some postcard stamps for me. It's a small post office and the only thing missing is a drive up and drop off lane, and an automated postage vending machine. [Review 18410 overall - 76 in Connecticut - 1932 of 2022.]”
“We love our mail carrier. We normally love this post office but whoever you’ve got working here 2/21 & 2/22 2023 at the counter keeps screwing up and very clearly has way under zero clue what she’s doing. She keeps locking herself out of the computer. Yesterday she couldn’t even accept my package. This is getting ridiculous.”

“This post office has the nicest customer service! Very helpful and curtious. I’ve never had any issues with anyone here.
It’s kept neat and tidy.
One time the clerk even gave me a bottled water because I was walking and he could clearly see I wasn’t feeling well. He told me to sit down and take as much time as I needed to feel better. So THANKS AGAIN!”

“Edit: after expressing my concern I received a call from the acting postmaster David. He went out of his way to talk to me for 20 minutes on his personal cell phone and made me feel valued and addressed my concerns. Also a big shout out to Ryan the supervisor who has also gone above and beyond just to be pleasant and accommodatingAbsolutely terrible service. I have been hung up on and talked to rudely by both supervisors zack etc. I was told that the mail carrier would get to me when he gets to me. We run a business where they pick up our packages every day and we provided over $40,000 in revenue for the Postal Service last year alone. They could care less and still when I call to have my packages picked up even when I put an online request I end up sitting on hold until I give up or being talked down to. Absolutely a travesty of what the post office once was”

“I admit, I was terrified when my package from St. Louis to Seattle somehow ended up on the opposite coast in Massachusetts. I was even more upset when I read the reviews for this distribution center. Fortunately for me, they redirected my package to its proper direction in a timely matter. I had no conversation with them, because I didn't need to. They handled it. I appreciate that alot. So, if your package ends up here, give them a lil time and patience. It may arrive later than expected, but it will arrive.”

Yes, sometimes the lines are long, especially around holidays and lunch times, but it gives you time to chat to other people waiting in line with you. I’ve been to other post offices in the Springfield area and always come back here.”

“Writing this as I just sent a package today but will update if anything changes.Contrary to other reviews, the staff were extremely nice to me and others around me. I talked to 3 people which consisted of a younger gentleman, the older man and the older woman which were all very helpful and quick with me. I didn't feel like they were racist to me at all and same with the other Hispanic guys that were in front of me as well. I dropped the package off at 5PM and by 7PM it departed the store and USPS was in possession of the item.It seems they are improving their business but the only con that remains is that it's cash only. Otherwise they were good to me.”

Spoke to- not sure of name— Michelle or Lisa?—immediately answered phone and said “no problem, I will let your carrier know” . How so “ old world” and nice??”

About quarter of a mile on your left you will see another USPS sign with a fence that you pull up to for them to open. Once through you will see the one blue door on left of building and you enter there. Essential the other side of the facility.”
