This year I decided to file my taxes with a private accountant after a horrible experience at this location… he looked over my paper work from last year and explained my tax return was filed wrong. They did not add in my school tax form. And did not put in my health insurance form.

The web parts of the interaction went fine, but the tax professional assigned to us vanished mid-process before filing our taxes, exposing us to fees. There wasn't an obvious means to contact other than through the app. H&R block did agree to reimburse the fees (hasn't happened yet).

I've been using H&R Block for over 7 years and have been completely satisfied with their services. This years return (2022) was especially complicated due to my spouse passing, I started an LLC, and long term stock trades; however H&R processed my return seamlessly in a timely manner. I'm confident that I received the best possible return.

I just got a call an hour and a half before my appointment saying they had to cancel because the tax preparer wasn't there. Did you really have to wait until the last minute? Probably not. Don't waste your time here.

Ok so heres the thing, I recently moved to this state and had to file for both here and my last state. They told me that they would have my files done the next day, a week later I keep getting calls asking questions from their "tax expert" and I remember her asking about if i ever lived in new York city and I stated no I had not and none of my paperwork ever said that either. So it finally gets done I sign the paperwork get charged over 300 bucks and I'm waiting for my taxes to be deposited. Well instead I get a notice saying I have to supply all this evidence about me living in NYC. So i call and apparently even though I stated I never lived in nyc the paperwork the state received and what I received were not the same. So now im waiting on a meeting to get my taxes redone and they cant give me a definitive answer on if they are going to charge me to refile an amendment they messed up. I was counting on this money to get me through till my new job started and now I dont know what I'm going to do.
