I love First Rugs! I have bought several gorgeous rugs from this store. Cynthia and Luis are extremely knowledgeable and have a good understanding of the style of rugs to meet each person's individual aesthetic. I have had my rugs cleaned with at First Rugs, and they did an amazing job. This is a place that I find myself continuing to visit. They are very welcoming, especially Cynthia's beloved dog Fica who is so gentle and sweet. I recommend this rug store to all of my friends in the area.

I have bought two rugs at First Rugs and had great experiences both times. I searched for a long time for the perfect rug for our dining room. I visited 3-4 separate stores and searched for hours online. I went to First Rugs three separate times during this search. Each time, they went through dozens of options with me and gave great advice. I took a rug home with me to try it out, and it wasn’t quite perfect. After some searching, we finally found the right one! It is a beautiful vintage Persian Heriz from the 1940s. I also found a pretty rug for our bathroom. The whole team including Cynthia, Ali, and Luis are great and super helpful. They also have a lifetime trade in guarantee for all of their rugs, so if you ever want to trade in your rug for an upgrade you can! They are all handmade wool, so you know it will last forever. They’re not cheap, but worth it for the quality.

I cannot say enough about the amazing experience I had with Cynthia and her team. It is rare these days to receive the service they provide. The team is knowledgeable and was extremely patient and persistent to help me find the perfect rug that fit my budget and finicky taste! Cynthia and team brought several options to my home which was just the thing I needed to seal the deal, and even left one for a week to see if it was the right one for us. The team went above and beyond researching care for our space and the new rug, as a moth problem was what led us to her in the first place! After our selection was made she sent her team the next night to smooth out the rug so my elderly mother would not trip and fall. Again I cannot say enough about the incredible experience I had dealing with Cynthia and her team at First Rugs. You will not be disappointed!

We brought an oversized rug to Cynthia & the team at First Rugs to be cut and seamed to fit in our bedroom. They told us 4 weeks but got it done in less than 3, and it looks great! Overall a really nice and communicative team.

Nigel and Cynthia were so great to work with. Their knowledge was vast and their eye for design so helpful. Nigel ad one of his staff had to get to the bottom of a giant stack of rugs -one by one to get to the rug we wanted to see. They did so with smiles on their faces! A vast variety of styles ,weaves, sizes available. Great experience ( and we now own 2 new rugs!)

I love this store. I have to force myself to stay away!! I hope that First Rugs will stay in business for many many years. The two "brothers" who work there have so much knowledge. It's amazing.

we recently purchased 2 rugs from the acton store. working with cynthia was a pleasurable stress free experience. her in home consultation was comfortable and so important to our selection process. cynthia is knowledgable and personable. we truly appreciated her vision for our complicated space! we are eagerly awaiting the arrival and install.

I have had a great experience with First Rugs! When we replaced the carpets with hardwood floors in our living room, we were in need of a rug and unsure of which way to go: cheap rug that may need to be replaced soon? More expensive rug that may be more durable? To add context, we have three young boys, so we were expecting a lot of usage. Cynthia was super helpful about laying out the pros and cons of each option, and allowed us to come visit and browse rugs whenever we wanted. She even let me bring my boys into the store! One word of warning, they do not carry mass produced (cheaper) rugs, so if you want to compare you’ll have to travel a bit. In the end we ended up going with two Gabbeh rugs from First rugs that we absolutely loved. We opted for a stain resistant treatment for them, and they have held up awesomely. We have had milk, lemonade, and worse spilled on these rugs, and they clean like a dream. You would never know three boys abused them daily. It was a great choice.

We have purchased a number of rugs through First Rugs over the years and have always experienced exceptional customer service. The customer service does not end with the sale. The team has followed through and answered any questions we have had, made visits to our house for continued customer support and has stepped up by picking up and dropping off our rugs after we had pet and other accidents - at our convenience, on our schedule and at reasonable prices. Patient and supportive staff that understands that we were making a purchase that we wanted to be happy with for years or generations. Glad we have found First Rugs and will continue to use them as our sole resource for high quality product and service. First Rugs has been there without fail for us for many years and I am sure will endure in the rug business while others come and go. Five Stars!

My interior decorator tipped me off to First Rugs in Acton, a fair drive from Boston, but I've been determined to find the right carpet for a psychiatric office. Lo and behold I walked out of First Rugs with 3 gems from which to make a final selection. I'd scoured mountains of rugs at 5 oriental carpet galleries in the previous week, and loved many carpets but nothing 'clicked' for me until First Rugs. Mine has been a particular and a complex decision, given the venue is a psychiatric office. Regardless of your venue it's well worth your while to check it out.The pricing is modest compared with the larger galleries, and the service has been excellent. Cynthia's gone out of her way, allowing me generous time to make a best choice of the 3 carpets...and the 3 in-store staff I've spoken with have been lovely.

Don't walk rather run as fast as you can from this store (and the one by the same name in Danvers, MA). Dishonest. Overpriced. Don't be tricked by Cynthia telling you how 'gorgeous' a rug looks in your home. Everything is always fuzzy....cost, discount, trade-ins. Ethically a bad business. I'd give it a no star rating if I could. Start running.
