I lost my son in December and have not been able to go into public places so I have had to order online and pick my orders up. I do not like to complain but the past 7 months has not been a good experience. For the past 3 weeks I had finally had no choice but to call customer service. They have NOT been willing to work with me. They keep telling me “its the system and its not in the control” for the past 7 months they have bagged my groceries in a way that makes no sense. They will use one bag for ONE item. So I get charged for SO many bags that if I actually went into the store I wouldn’t have used that many bags therefore I wouldn’t have been charged for that many. This past week they used only 3 bags but charged me for SIX. I called and talked to the manager who said there was “NOTHING he could, it was the system” because I bought 6 gallons of water jugs their “system” charges you for extra bags!!! But if I was IN the store that would NOT happen. They are not even in bags weather you buy online or in the store!! MAKES NO SENSE!!! So they just lost a very frequent customer. I have gone there for over 20 years. They are ripping people off.

Only 2 stars because of the great staff. Stop n shop doesn’t care about their customers anymore, charging for bags and also the ridiculous “digital” coupons. They advertise a 3 for 12$ bottle water and when I self checkout the deal doesn’t register and I’m told I have to get a digital coupon and I just refused because I tried before on a pineapple sale and download the app and created a log in just to not be able to figure out how to actually get the deal. I’m very tech savy and couldn’t do it , never mind our elderly that area up to date on technology. The digital coupons is a pitiful excuse to get your email and data and they should be ashamed making customers go through a hassle just for advertised sales.

My girlfriend and I live within five minutes of two other Stop & Shop stores, but we'll be driving 15 minutes to come here from now on. For one, the prices are better than those other stores and the Shaw's. Secondly, the store is large: good selection and wide aisles. Lastly, and I hadn't noticed this until my girlfriend pointed it out, but the cashier and bagger were very cute together and kind to the customer while doing an effective job. Thank you to the cashier with the nails and pizazz!

Standard Stop and Shop layout with the added plus of a gas station in the adjacent parking. Remodelled in 2019. Meat dept is under supplies and understaffed.

This is not my favorite Stop & Shop located in Brockton Montello Street. My favorite Stop & Shop is the one in Braintree. More options nice and clean
