High's is a historic ice-cream brand established in 1928, once boasting over 500 locations across the Mid-Atlantic States, making it the largest ice-cream chain in the world. In 2012, it was acquired by Carroll Independent Fuel Company, which now operates a chain of 60 convenience stores with a team of 500 employees. The stores aim to provide a clean, friendly, and inviting environment, focusing on well-operated stores that serve customer needs. Customers appreciate the helpful and friendly staff, with some mentioning employees who go out of their way to make visits pleasant, offering good conversation and product knowledge. Many note the store's cleanliness and good product selection, especially for food, snacks, and coffee. However, some comments highlight the store's older exterior, which can appear somewhat scummy, and occasional issues with flawed screens making information difficult to see. Food quality has been praised in general, though a few customers experienced less-than-ideal items like dried-out chicken tenders and crunchy hush puppies, which impacted their overall experience. Overall, High’s stores are valued for their convenient locations, fair prices, friendly service, and nostalgic heritage, despite some minor exterior and product quality concerns.
Very good selection of snacks and food to-go! Staff is very helpful and kind! 10/10 will definitely be back :)

My daughter worked near here and raved about the chicken salad sandwich. OMG got 2 for our lunch and went back for 2 more. Best I have ever had. beats chick filet or fancy deli. would drive here any time for that sandwich

I come to this store alot when work season starts, the food and selection are always great, but this season I have been served by Dave quite a few times, he's is the friendliest guy and I appreciate the conversation with him as well as he is knowledgeable on the sales and products in the store. Great store, highly recommended
