God awful customer service! I’ve already been hating this place for some years, but decided to give it a Final chance today. I found a few pair of shoes I liked, went through all the trouble of making sure they fit and were worth the price. Then proceeded to self checkout… I was then approached by a young man cashier who offered his unneeded assistance. He then randomly decided for ZERO reason at all that the shoes were not actually the marked price. I then said OK what is the right price? He then said that the price maker guy was not in today, And that I could NOT buy the shoes. Completely CONFUSED I asked why he believed that the price was incorrect. He gave no explanation other than “This is not the right price” I fought with him for a bit on the issue. While arguing he began to look through more of my items and claimed that a second pair of shoes WERE ALSO NOT THE CORRECT PRICE. ??? He then took the two pairs of shoes and threw them in a Random bin and Just kept repeating “ They are not the correct price” As someone who has been donating to this place for years And received zero In exchange, This experience was extremely disheartening. A complete waste of time, and officially my last time visiting this store. I beg of you please DONT donate to this organization. They are NOT A non-profit, have zero logic And extremely greedy.

Words cannot express how much I hate this place. Customer service is at an all time low. This place is a sad scam. They receive their items for free and resell to the low income community for ridiculously high prices. In the last 5 years I’ve watched the prices rise and rise and T- shirt once worth 2 dollars now cost 7. Please don’t donate here. ( like I used to) Instead take your items to shelter and give to friends and family.

The prices are very high, they are found at a lower price and new in Burlington, Marshall, Ross, being donated items because they make them so expensive

This thrift used to be decent but somehow a t shirt can be priced at 24.99$ and a used hoodie at 34.99$ , there is the same couple of people who hang out by the area where the employees bring out inventory and they always get first pick as if they are entitled to it . Plenty of homeless people and addicts also hang out inside this store during business hours not a good place

Today I went with my daughter to the store, everything was very calm, I looked for what I needed, the problem was when I went to pay. The Assistant Manager helped me. Her name is DALIA, an elderly lady began to scan everything and began to say that is not the price and That I was trying to rob the store, that bothered me a lot because he started fighting with me about the terrible service and that is not this. I am a person who also makes donations for the store and that is the treatment that a customer and also a person receives. who makes donations That lady really gives a pessimistic service, I don't understand why they have that lady there working customer service, she has no patience and something else. She believes that the store is her property... Please talk to her employee DALIA... I don't think I'll make any more donations and much less to buy there

BLUF: I recommend.
All thrift stores have raised their prices regardless of location and store name/brand/chain.
Despite the national price of everything going up, there were a largenumber of items at wonderful prices. The opportunity to save more is available if you download the app and use their coupons. The store also has a special day to save an extra discount on items.
The parking lot is large on the side and back of the store. The front parking lot is smaller.
Items in the store are 90% displayed clutter free.
I did not interact with any store employee, except the check out person. She was nice and packed my things with care into the large reusable bag.
If you go here I HIGHLY recommend you bring your own shopping bags and paper to wrap delicate items. I would also encourage you to come early. I came on a Friday afternoon and it was busier than I expected.
As a female shopping alone I felt safe in the area.
Bottomline: I recommend this thrift store.

Real customer here. I discovered this store a few weeks ago and bought some good items, along with a few damaged ones. One of them was a wool sweater that looked brand new. After washing it on delicate, I found two quite big holes that became noticeable after the wash. I took it back to see what they can do. The cashier, Instead of apologizing, asked, "You didn't see these holes, really?" Maybe she thought I wore it. But Yes I did not. This women's tone was unacceptable. She thinks every customer is a potential fraudster. This and few other episodes with others made me wonder if this place is a charity and I found out that it's not. People working/volunteering for charities are humane. But I must say I also met some great people working there and not all of them are rude!

There are a lot of children running around destroying the items no parents in-site. Also They are letting homeless people and drug attics hangout at the store.
Staff members and security ignores it.
It’s not safe place to have children roaming by themselves.
The proper authorities should look into this store and their practices.
I will be contacting someone in Montgomery county about this place.

I think this is the best Unique in the DC Metro area - and I've been to all of them. They have a wide range of clothes and always have some designer items and items with the tags still on. Great turnover of items, so there is always a lot new to browse through. Prices have been increasing, but that is true of most thrift stores these days. Best part as a donor is that you can donate whenever they open so I can do it when its convenient for me. They also have a lot of discount days and 20% off coupons when you donate.

The bathrooms now have to use a password to use them, but when I asked to use it, a woman at the counter, right after the bathrooms, told me to go to the ones in the other businesses ?too bad if they are only going to be for employees only ?

Whether you're shopping for Halloween costumes or just something to freshen up your wardrobe. Everything is very well organized and clean. I don't think it's a non-profit, but they do a great public service in keeping things organized and recycling perfectly good items.

I am utterly appalled by my recent experiences at Unique Thrift Store. This place is an absolute nightmare, and I strongly urge everyone to stay away. The store is in a state of disarray, with merchandise scattered haphazardly and shelves barely organized. However, the most disturbing aspect is the staff. I have witnessed multiple instances of employees blatantly stealing from both customers and the store itself. It’s shocking and unacceptable.
On top of that, customer service is non-existent. Employees are rude, unhelpful, and act as if they are doing you a favor by acknowledging your presence. They seem more interested in their personal conversations than assisting customers. This kind of behavior reflects extremely poorly on the management and the overall operation of the store.
