My experience was ok . The wait is a very long wait to see the doctor. Need to make some improvements on the waiting time.

Took my wife to this "urgent" care this morning because she had a severe nosebleed that didn't stop after 15-20 minutes.According to their screen, there were only two people in line ahead of us but the staff let us sit there with her actively bleeding for more than an hour and did NOTHING but give us an ice pack (for what???). It was more than a half hour before they even took her back to a room so she could bleed privately... Lots of fun letting everyone in the lobby watch you dump wad after wad of bloody tissues in the trash can we brought with us, good times... /sEventually her nose stopped bleeding on its own so we just got up and left - we'll call for a refund later. This place is a joke. As we were checking in the front desk person had the gall to comment to her coworker "the patients come first" - flat out lie.

Do not bother to make an appointment, they take people first come first serve no matter what and have no ability to see more than one patient at a time

This is not a complaint just a concernedI visited a MedStar location 3 times this past wk. The 1st one was at the Olney location for a sore throat with Covid/ Flu like symptoms. Everything was negative so I was sent home to rest, take off work and follow-up w my PCP. My symptoms did not improve. On Sat I woke up with a pink eye. I returned to Olney. They gave an ointment and I complained about my sore throat. They just said to go home and rest and take over the counter medicine. I had already been taking over the counter medicine. Yesterday Monday I was worse than ever. I lost my voice, I had a fever, I couldn’t even swallow my saliva. Considering Olney wasn’t helpful I went to this location in the hopes they would help me. They redid all 3 tests again and they were all negative. So, they refused to give me anything. It was obvious that I was sick. So, I pleaded with them as to what to do. I wanted a solution and I wasn’t willing to continue taking days off work especially if the symptoms didn’t improve. Long story short- I went to the hospital. They did bloodwork. My white cells are high. They did a cat scan of my neck. Everything was normal. So, they gave me amoxicillin for 10 days 3xs a wk. I just don’t understand why they couldn’t help. There are a million other viruses that are not Covid, the flu or strep. Going forward- I’ll save myself time and just go straight to the hospital. I never imagined that a sick person needs to be positive on the 3 tests mentioned to be able to get some antibiotics. Very disappointing.

Everyone was nice. They don’t do blood work so I pretty much was there for two hours to be told to see my primary physician. They did test me for strep and Covid but I had no symptoms.

Be ready to stay for a while. Even if you have an appointment like I did, and you are the only person in the waiting room, you still have an unexplained wait. The gal at the front desk was 'available' and the Dr. was professional, fast, friendly and efficient. The parking is free and right in front of the building with an accessible wheelchair ramp. There are better Urgent Cares nearby.

Amazing !!!The front desk attendant was amazing. She handled a crisis situation with Grace, professionalism, and total levelheadedness when an unruly patron visited the premises. The police were called and she usher all of us waiting patients into the back, locked us in so that we would have a barrier between the unruly, patron and us and she proceeded to continue on about her job. The two attendance who took my vitals were absolutely wonderful, and the doctor that saw us was empathetic kind and professional. I could not have had a better experience when I was feeling such misery and it’s all thanks to the staff that I encountered during my visit.

Like the opportunity to select an appointment time. And they honor it. Several people ahead of me. The staff knowledgeable.
