There are 2 things that I fear: eye doctors and dentists. I'm glad to have found an eye doctor who is understanding, careful and someone who is just nice. I recommend to visit this place to get your eyes checked annually!

Dr. Kepner is very nice but the man who makes the glasses is beyond incompetent. He ruined my glasses 3 times. First he put the wrong prescription in the wrong lenses, switching the left and right. No apologies given. Since he damaged the small pieces that hold the lenses in the frames when he made this paid, I had to buy new frames, which weren't cheap. Then he put one of the lenses on the new frames lopsided. When I asked to have them adjusted, they scratched the lenses which they blamed on me. They agreed to remake the lenses again for free but this time he put the lenses on too far from the nose bridge so the lenses push the sides of the frames out so they bow out causing them to sit in the middle of my ear which pinches my ear and causes a lot of pain. They can't be adjusted inward because the lenses were set to far out. These expensive glasses are now a giant waste of money. I've been wearing glasses for a long time and have had many pairs, never have I experienced such incompetence before and I deeply regret my decision to go there. I also ordered contacts from them and was initially told there's a rebate but then later told there is none, even though 1800 contacts does offer one. The Dr. may be nice and competent but what good is that when you can't get your glasses made there properly? If you just want to get your eyes checked, fine, but if you plan on getting glasses or contacts, save your time, money and frustration and look elsewhere.

My recent visit to the eye doctor left me incredibly dissatisfied. I was overcharged for services and my requested benefits weren't applied despite confirmation from my insurance that it was possible with an additional step. Regrettably, the staff member, Rob, was unhelpful and combative throughout the entire experience. Despite my persistence, I had to leave only after he reluctantly applied the insurance (not the requested way), blaming the system for the issue. I have been seen here several times and I'm deeply disappointed. Furthermore, the sales team's lack of professionalism added to the overall negative experience. I won't be returning to this establishment or recommending it.

I'm *really* glad I found this place (while searching for anyone who took Aetna Vision insurance). I don't think I've ever visited an office with a friendlier or more helpful staff and optometrist. They really project competence and honesty; I knew I was getting a through and genuine run-down of my issues and options. (I thought my lenses were great, but Dr Keppner showed how my vision could be improved and I'm already surprised I didn't realize the problem.) I haven't done much comparison shopping, but I'm pretty sure my costs for contact lenses + replacement lenses for eyeglasses were lower than I've paid elsewhere. Highly recommend in the Wheaton - Silver Spring - Takoma Park area.

I had an appointment with Dr/Mr Kepner and my experience was 10/10. He took his time to examine my eyes and explain every step and process to me. I have found my new yearly optometrist. I highly recommend this practice.

I was referred to Dr. Kepner and his team for a long overdue, post-pandemic eye exam and I'm very pleased with the service they delivered. Dr. Kepner is patient and knowledgeable; I very much appreciate his thorough examination and the questions he asked to ensure he had all the necessary information to address my eye condition. He offered a variety of solutions to the concerns I raised and was very patient in helping me decide the best alternative. The premises are clean and organized and everyone observed the now-routine pandemic protocol. The staff is professional, helpful, and responsive--and with a great sense of humor, too. Additionally, this location features a very good selection of eyewear--economical, practical, fashionable, and trendy. Parking is readily available and free. I can't believe I drove by this place for years and never stopped in before now!

I had an appointment today at 4:30, drove 45 minutes in rush hour traffic across town to get there. Didn't find out til after I got there that they had called me at 3:52 to cancel. Really??? But "we left a message".... um, I was driving to my appointment! Funny how doctors want at least 24 hours notice if you cancel but they can cancel anytime? They offered to reschedule....so I can risk this happening again??? No way!!

Nice place and nice people! Went to see the dr for eyeglasses and was very happy with exam. The dr is very friendly and knowledgeable. After exam I looked at many glasses, and was happy that the optician helped me pick out the perfect pair! First time that ever happened and with apparent ease! The price was fair as far as I am concerned and the my new glasses are awesome! Thanks Dr Kepner, Carol and Rob!

I went in for my first eye exam in a number of years on Saturday March 9th. I was the first customer of the day and was treated with nothing less than exceptional service. Dr. Pacheco was very professional and thorough with my exam. She took her time to make sure my prescription was as accurate as possible. I didn't even realize I needed glasses but she helped me identify all the issues I've been having with my vision. She also advised that I used special lubricant eye drops for my dry eye and explained which are best. Dr. Pacheco was very knowledgeable, professional and made me feel very comfortable for an initial exam. Following my exam I met with my optician Danielle. Danielle was so much fun! She provided honest suggestions in choosing frames, but with so much personality. Her customer service went above and beyond as she got to know me as a person and not just a customer. I ended up picking frames for my prescription , and sunglasses with her help. Thank you Pearl Vision for the great experience! Chris Thomas

(4.5) ~ Very Good Overall Eye Test & Glasses! The Eye Test was Quick & Easy. Even the Air Puff Test for Glaucoma was the best I've experienced. And their Eye Glasses Selection is Great! Especially the Technology they have for Lenses(i.e. High Definition, Anti-Reflection, Progressive, Micro Thins, etc.) Their Service & Experience is what separates this store from others, as the employees have been there for years and know what they're doing:)

I just had a first appointment at Pearl Vision in Mansfield. I say first because I couldn't have been more pleased with the service! The staff was more than accommodating my last minute requests. Dr Gomez was so pleasant and completely understood my needs. Excellent eye exam and contact lens fitting. I would highly recommend this location!

This is my new eye doctor and I don't want to leave. I just moved to the area from New York and had to find a new doctor. Dr. Kepner was extremely nice and personable. Throughout the entire exam he explained what he was looking for at every step and my results. He was very informative and kept things interesting. The rest of the staff was very helpful and extremely nice as well. When I got there I was immediately greeted and taken care of the whole time. When I needed time to pick my new frames they game me the space I needed but support when I wanted an opinion. At the end of the visit they actually cut my glasses right then and there. I waited about 10 minutes and they had everything all set for me so I didn't have to come back later in the week to pick them up. Everything in the office was clean and organized. I would recommend everyone go here, I had a really great experience.

Staff was very nice and welcoming. As soon as you walk in they make sure you are seen right away. The two gentlemen working there helped me pick out my glasses and when my insurance didn't work out they gave me a nice discount and I was able to get my glasses within minutes. The doctor takes his time with you he never rushes you like other doctors. He is very knowledgeable and takes time explaining everything. He answered all my questions and was happy with overall service.
