After my husband had a horrendous experience with our local Hyundai dealer, my parents suggested that we use D&M for our auto needs as they had been using them for years. This was the best advice we could have received, and have never looked back!
Mr. Lawrence and the crew at D&M are a rare gem in the auto mechanic world. If you are anything like my husband and me, you have likely wondered if your mechanic is being honest and you are not paying for bogus repairs, etc. You put your trust in someone you do not know, on matters that you do not have the knowledge/expertise to diagnose yourself. D&M has proven, through actions, time and time again, that they operate with the utmost integrity. One example — I took my car in for a routine oil change and I asked Mr. Lawrence to take a look at my battery because I knew it had to be at least 5yrs old at that point. We were at the tail end of the winter season and I had noticed that my car hesitated to start twice during the winter (thankfully it did end up starting both times). I know old batteries can cause cold starts, and eventually may not start at all without a jump. To be proactive, I wanted to get my battery replaced to avoid such an issue. After taking a look at my car, Mr. Lawrence confirmed that my battery was just about 5 years old at that point but he suggested not getting it replaced at that time. When I questioned this, he explained that the battery still had a good charge and we were only a few weeks out from the weather getting warmer. He said that I should not have any battery issues during the warmer months of summer and we could change the battery later in the year before the weather started to get cold again. Essentially, he told me to save the money on replacing the battery until it was necessary. He even gave me the battery installation price so I knew what to expect later in the year. While this may seem minuscule to some, it was truly a blessing to me. He could have very easily charged me for a service that was not necessary and I would have been none the wiser.
I highly recommend D&M Transmissions to anyone in need of auto work. They’ve earned our trust and loyalty! We bypass numerous mechanics on our way from Owings Mills to their shop in Westminster, and do not give it a second thought. Sure, it would be much easier to take it somewhere in our neighborhood but the piece of mind that D&M provides is worth the extra miles!

Shout out to Lawrence and the boys at D & M Transmission.. They did a great job installing my barton shifter for my Challenger .. I am very impressed by the crew.. When I arrived before the shop opened, the guys were already hard at work .. The labor was quick and I was gone, shifting like a pro.. Thanks guys

D&M rebuikt my wife's transmisson in her suburban. They worked with the used car warranty company to address the issues and got it all covered. Rebuilt the transmission, replaced torque converter, and transmission cooler lines in just a week and 2 days. I paid my deductible and went on my way. Clarence was responsive and answered all my questions. Dropped off a second vehicle and they turned that vehicle around in 3 days. Reasonable prices and great service. Highly recommend.

Lawrence and his team go the Extra Mile - great work! They managed to find the necessary parts and there were many needed to fix a 1993 Defender 90. Lawrence always keep me informed of any potential problems and was always willing to go the extra mile to find a solution Great professional team and quality work - The Defender is again running around Westminster. - Which is great news and very much appreciated.

Had to get trans replaced in my 2018 f250 6.7. Was recommended to D&M from Cross Roads Auto&Truck. Reached out and decided to throw a MPD transmission in the truck. Trans was built, put in and re-flashed in a timely fashion even around two major holidays. Would recommend to anyone looking for performance upgrades to their transmissions to reach out to these guys.

Had the transmission in my ‘08 GMC Acadia overhauled by D & M in 2018.. still driving it. Have had no issues. They also take care of my ‘95 F-150. Have had no issues. They stand by there work..
