“The ladies in the deli department were amazing! My family was in the middle of a tragedy and we suddenly had to feed about 50 people. We came in to this store and needed a lot of sandwhich fixings. They got it all prepped and ready quickly and did it all with a professional attitude and friendly smiles. Thank you so much for making a terrible day a little less stressful.”

“Thank you to the hard working owner for keeping the soda machines ice cold and fully stocked and giving her full attention and care to every person who walks in! Lots of snacks and old fashioned candy. There are 15 packs of soda for $8 with a decent variety to choose from. Clean, bright and comfortable environment unlike the other dank and dusty choices off the highway.The store closes early but there are 3 soda machines of Coke and Pepsi products at 75 cents a can and $1.90 for 20 oz bottles. I have probably bought at least 100 sodas here and they always deliver my drink and my change.Thank you Dan's Store owner for being only good neighbor on rock point rd.”
“The experience was a pretty good experience. The service from our waitress was super great!! The drink she suggested was amazing, and the food was ok. The sirloin tips pasta, just had a gravy on it. I would have liked to see it made differently, but the steakntips were tender. My husband said his crab cakes were good. The lettuce wraps were flavorful but could have used more lettuce and firmer lettuce the lettuce we received were too soft (wilted) with no crunch. The ambiance is mediocre as well as being too cluttered. I can't even say that it was cozy because we were sooo close to other tables it was hard to have a conversation when you can clearly hear others conversations. Would we go back... umm I can't say 100% for sure but my husband stated he may want to try their brunch”
“Been visiting this store for nearly 20 years. Employees here are generally very nice and friendly. Store is kept clean and neat, especially since the remodel done a few years ago. Produce is generally fresh and good quality. Some limitations in items carried which can be a little frustrating. There is no fresh fish counter like the main King George Food Lion has.”

“If I could give more stars, I would! I have been to many Aldi’s and by far, this is the best one ever! It is always clean, the shelves are always stocked and neatly arranged. I am always greeted by the staff and I always enjoy talking to Joel and Lindsey. Everyone at that store has always gone out of their way to meet my needs.I often talk with Lindsey or Joel, who stop whatever they are doing to chat with me. The family feel permeates the entire store and spreads to the customers.Aldi’s is budget friendly for me…….outside of a few specific things, I can do my shopping here at a very nice savings for me. Like everyone else my budget has taken a hit, so I truly appreciate what Aldi’s is doing for me and La Plata. I love how welcome the store is.I read some earlier reviews and I am sad that some people found something to get angry about.It is regrettable that some people have to make themselves feel better at other’s expense. “The Safeway grocery store located off of 301 Crain Highway in La Plata, Maryland has recently improved the cleanliness of its facility and expanded various food selections.The quality of their fresh produce has also improved.I particularly enjoy their deli department and chicken special on Mondays.Try their habeñero chicken, Amish potato salad, and special "healthy mixed crunchy salad." Mmmm, totally delicious.Make sure you double-check the expiration dates in the cheese, butter, yogurt, and ice cream section , albeit there have been significant updated improvements.Overall, the Safeway supermarket at this location is my first market for grocery shoppingl.”
