The "Advisor" network I've used for years is now owned by another company that charges up front even before they find a specialist. Since my home's A/C system gave up the ghost and because I've used the "Advisor" with success in the past, plus the desperation of a house temp of 90 degrees I paid in advance. Big Mistake. The "Advisor's" tech misdiagnosed the issues and then never returned, his number out of service. The "Advisors" didn't like the fact that I was uncomfortable paying for a service I never received. When the line disconnected in the middle of my sentence, I reached out to my credit card company and got a refund. After researching HVAC maintenance companies, specifically Reviews and Experience, Enter: Vortex Air, LLC. Ishmael examined the inside unit and outside compressor, pointing out and explaining everything. Both required disassembly/cleaning and some coils required a leak repair. He also extracted the old refrigerant and upgraded the compressor with the newest freon (which is better for the environment and actually feels colder). Now I can sleep and spend time upstairs in a cool house. Lesson learned: never use "Advisor" networks again and update my Address Book with Vortex Air, LLC. You should too.Services: A/C system repair

Great service! I came home at 6:30pm and realized my air was not working, was 86 degrees in my house. I called so many companies and was unable to get a sale day appointment, however I called vortex and Ishmael came out that night, in a timely manner! Not only did he come at a reasonable time, he walked me through the problem step by step! He was in and out in15 minutes top, with my air back on and pumping! Thank you again! Waldorf MD - Our AC stopped cooling late in the afternoon on a very hot July Saturday. After checking that the filters were not clogged I decided to call for a repair. I was hoping someone could come the next day at best. Well, I called Vortex and Ishmael was at my home within about an hour that Saturday evening. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and responsiveness. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had our AC operating normally again in a short amount of time. The best service I have ever experienced. Did not tell me there was a major problem that cost an extreme amount of money. He took me along while investigating the issue and educated me as he was checking the furnace, thermostats and ducts out. After he fixed the issue, he check on an unrelated electrical problem and identied the issue free of charge. Most friendly and professional individual and company I have ever dealt with.
