Stepping into Sherwin Williams with my lively 2-year-old sidekick, I braced myself for the usual toddler-in-a-store chaos. But lo and behold, we were met by the paint wizard himself, Isaiah! Let’s go! With patience that rivals a saint and knowledge deeper than the deepest paint can, Isaiah turned our shopping trip into an epic quest for the perfect paint and tools. As my little one embarked on a quest of endless questions and exploration, Isaiah, armed with his palette of wisdom, guided us through the seemingly endless land of paints, brushes, rollers, and the ever-elusive sandpaper. Not once did I feel out of place, even with a toddler who believes every can of paint is a drum and every display of brushes needed to be picked up.Isaiah, you’re not just a paint professional; you’re a toddler-taming, question-answering superhero. Thanks for making our visit not just informative but an absolute blast. To anyone embarking on their own painting journey, with or without a curious toddler, Isaiah at Sherwin-Williams Waldorf is your go-to guide!

Person in the store decided they needed to talk me out of the paint I came in to purchase by telling me, “it’s science.” Except they had the science wrong. I know because I am a scientist and because the color I wanted has a higher light reflective value, I had previously put a tester of it on my wall and I knew what I wanted. When I said, you know, let’s skip this and just get a tester of a different color I wanted to try for a different room, she decided to take the time while it was mixing to show me how I was wrong about the white I had selected and that she was right. She still wasn’t right, but she did a great job of convincing me I needed to buy my paint elsewhere. If you sell a color and I ask to buy a color, just give me the color. It doesn’t matter whether you like the color or think there’s a better color because I have to live with the consequences of my choices, not you. When you try to override my judgment, especially by being condescending with “it’s science” to a PhD scientist, you’re setting yourself up for a bad review.

I went in to get paint samples. No one said a word to me. I wasn’t greeted or asked if I needed assistance. I was in the store about 5 minutes when another customer entered and was greeted and assisted. Decided this will not be the place I will get paint.

I’ll start by saying that the staff are very polite and professional. That’s the end of the positive. The rest goes down hill from there. I went to order wallpaper, first I went through several books before being informed that the books I was looking through were all discontinued, yet they are still on the shelves. Ok, the lovely young lady working there informs me that I can check off the sample books. Ok, cool. I return with the sample I want, bring it to the counter, the young man orders it. Great! The package arrives at my home, it’s the wrong pattern, I go back to Waldorf to return it. Ok, a bit of a hassle, finally we begin the return process. It’s a 25% restocking fee for returned items. I paid $100 fir wallpaper and was only refunded $31. I was livid.! I think the way these “restocking” fees are structured is downright criminal. So I just have them free money, getting nothing in return except a negative view of this place. End the end I paid for their mistake. Will never return there. If you go, make sure you don’t return anything.

I came to Sherwin-Williams looking for Evergreen wood stain to stain our wooden mantle. The sales associate was extremely helpful- outlined the whole process, advised on what brush to buy, etc. He took the time to make sure I felt comfortable. I received a discount and the sales associate walked my stain out to my truck which was very kind and does not happen frequently other places.

Small but well stocked. Super helpful and friendly staff. I had to make a phone call regarding my purchase and they were very patient as I worked through the issue. Pricing on paints is on the higher scale unless you are part of a company membership, but it is good quality.

I walked in at the same time as another customer and we were both greeted and helped immediately. Daniel was very professional and gave me great advice on what type of finish I should use (which I had been agonizing over). My paint was ready within seconds of paying! Oh, and the paint was a better price than at the major home improvement store I usually go to. Very professional, prompt, and personable employees selling paint at a great price. I highly recommend this store and the paint, which tends to be higher quality as far as I've noticed.

2022 has been dedicated to fun home improvement projects. So I've spent a bunch of time online getting inspired, browsing hardware stores, & refining my ideas at Sherwin Williams. I think it's common knowledge that they sell some of the best paint in the industry! This location (right on 301) is rarely crowded although I visit mostly during the week. The store itself is clean, bright, well stocked & organized. I can comfortably contemplate my project at a table with supplies and all the paint chips I need. They have the large peel & stick paint samples which are clutch if you need to see how the color looks under various light in your home. All colors are not available in the store but you can go online to order more. The bilingual staff members are polite & helpful too. Multiple builders like Lennar and Ryan use their paint so they know what's being used in new construction. All of this is a stark contrast from the Clinton location. Bypass Clinton and come to Waldorf. It's worth it.

Service was very quick and friendly. It took mere minutes to zero in on what I needed. HOWEVER, the paint is quite expensive...$27 for one QUART, not gallon. That was with a $4.50 discount. I was rather taken aback by the expense. I will return b/c service was very good but I will mentally prepare myself for a high price.
