Brought food and had to ring it up myself as the worker watched. If I could give no stars I would. This store has a smell and no customer services.

My wife used this Safeway last week. She said the lady's bathroom appeared as if it had not been cleaned in weeks. There was trash spilling out from the can onto the floor, all of its sinks were grimy, and the toilets smelled strongly of urine. After she left the bathroom, she tried to buy a coffee from Starbucks, but there was no one working the counter. She tried for several minutes to no avail to find someone to assist her. Finally, she went to the service desk to speak with a manager. She asked him for help at the Starbucks and was told no one could help her. When she then mentioned the lady's bathroom, the manager turned his back on her while she was in mid-sentence and walked away from her. If you appreciate inappropriate, discourteous, and dismissive service, this disgraceful excuse for a Safeway is just the place for you. If you want solid service, there are two other Safeway stores in close proximity (one in Brandywine and one in the heart of Waldorf). Those stores are worthy of your business. This store is worthy of being reported to corporate headquarters.

Upon my arrival, not one cart was available at the door I went through to enter. Not one! I had to walk down to other side and then back outside to get a cart that was one of maybe 4 carts on the outside of the doors.I passed several workers throughout the store stocking and cleaning and not one greeted me.Shelves were somewhat empty of a few items that I wanted. I love the Safeway sparkling waters and it’s almost impossible to find them on the shelves.I was grateful that they had at least two lanes open for check out.

Went in for gel to be removed from my nails. They simply sanded the top and pried off my nail. Damaging my nails and cutting them completely off...

Just left this store and I'm not understanding why Destiny was on the phone while ringing up customers. Never said hello or spoke one word out her mouth, but was steadily talking on the phone. You're at work and as a customer service cashier, you're job is to greet customers that come into your line to be serviced. She should be reprimanded for this behavior and go back through training to learn that cell phone shouldn't be on the floor while working with a customer period. If you don't like your job find somewhere else to work.

Not sure what I was supposed to expect, but I definitely didn't expect to receive delivery of my groceries half an hour before the designated window when nobody was available to get them. I definitely didn't expect to receive a bag of rotten oranges, a bag of mostly bruised and dehydrated apples, half of the chips we ordered, and half of the cream cheese we ordered.Needless to say, if you want anything good from Safeway, get it yourself. Don't expect Safeway's delivery service to be anything better than below average. I've ordered from 2 locations, and it was an identical experience. Spoiled produce, damaged and/or missing items, incompatible replacement items, or items of sizes I didn't request.Here's a hint for Safeway drivers.... CHECK FOR MOLDAnd if you can't find 1 bag with say, 12oz of chips, but 6oz bags of chips are available, GRAB 2.If I'm ordering for a party, SIZE IS NOT ARBITRARY.I've had a couple of good deliveries, but when it mattered, I was let down, twice in a row. So I've lost faith in Safeway delivery and will be shopping exclusvely in-person.As for the in-person experience, for one, the meat department seems to be one of the least professional experiences I've had. Asking a question leads to condescending.... meats are often labelled with dates into the future, but if you examine the package, the meat had already expired. The fish is probably the worst experience, and a health hazard to say the least. I've had good experiences here, and at other nearby locations. I typically shop in Brandywine and typically have a better experience, but this location is sub-par and below-average for what I would consider consumer friendly.Add to that the parking situation is often.... bizarre. This location is a quick stroll from a police station, often has paid security sitting inside, but parking enforcement is non-existent. The ONLY reason this location gets any business at all is because of it's location convenience. NOT because of its selection and service. e.g. I will often drive to Brandywine, which is a 45 minute round trip instead of driving to this location which is a 20 minute round trip, just because it's cleaner, better selection, fresher produce, better parking enforcement, and all around a better experience.Safeway used to be one of the better places to shop at, but this location shares more in common with a 7Eleven in a Detroit suburb in terms of security, cleanliness, parking, and overall experience.

Very convenient for me since they are located in my neighborhood. They tend to run out of stuff, like fruits, milk and other things. Check the bread expiration dates. Check the milk expiration dates. Double check your expiration dates!!! I had one issues that still bothers me today. One of the mangers (young black lady) thought I was trying to pass a counterfeit $20 bill while I was with my son. It was pretty insulting for her to allude I could be trying to change a fake $20 bill into smaller change.

Not a fan of this Safeway but I do tend to stop here for emergency, quick, grocery stops. The store has a terrible smell from the moment you enter. Hard to describe exactly what it smells like, but it is off-putting. The store often looks disheveled, cluttered and ransacked.

It's okay, not a big variety. The ladies bathroom was the "pits" as usual, unappealing, a mess. I personally would Choose Giant any day. Giant bathrooms are usually cleaner. The whole store needs to be renovated. But as they say it could be worse ?
