I only rated using a 1 because there are no zeros. On March 15, 2024 at 11:00am was my appointment time to pickup my rental. When I arrived to pickup the rental car the female Owner stated that she had no cars. She said “I called you to let you know”. I Looked at my phone and realized she called 23 minutes prior to me arriving for pickup of the rental. I asked how is that possible that I made an appointment for pickup based on the reservation that was accepted and you have no cars; how is that. She said every customer asked if they could extend their rental. She stated that because they received the approval to extend no cars were available. My question is “how was that decision made when you had accepted and booked reservation scheduled? I made reservations due to a family emergency and at the last minute due to poor management I was inconvenienced without an alternative!!! What is the point of making a reservation and it being accepted by the rental company and they breached the contractual agreement without any notice or resolution! Why would you take my reservation and mismanage the return policy with no regard to the the customer’s reservation? The extension should have been denied due to the scheduled reservation of customers that were booked or provisions worked out to honor the standing reservations. Avis Budget Group contract breach of my reservation left me in a crisis no doubt! The female Manager/Owner did not understand nor was she concerned/committed to honoring the reservation. The disrespect and lack of concern as to how her decision to NOT honor the agreement of the reservation delayed and disrupted our travels due to her incompetence to manage the reservation didn’t phase her at any point of this situation. Who operate a business in that manner? I was left scrambling to find reservations with another company which delayed my emergency travels by 3 hours! It also increased my rental rates at the last minute due to the bind that was imposed on me unexpectedly. I highly suggest that no one ever use this company to experience the incompetency and aggravation of engaging service with them during any circumstances; especially in an emergency situation. The entire situation was definitely one of poor management and lack of competency which led to a breach of contractual services!

Not sure why this trailer park rental place is still open, very unprofessional. I have rented cars from Avis in multiple locations such as Los Angeles, Miami and a couple spots in Maryland with no issues, but on this location they said they could not rent me the car because I had a provisional’s license. I have rented from all different companies and have never got denied a car before. I honestly think it was personal, that man didn’t like me I could tell by his demeanor towards me. I went right across the street to Enterprise where they treated me great with respect and had no issues renting a car. Waldorf Avis location is losing business because of the people in charge.

Customer Service experience was the best. They try their best to get you in a car and on your way!!! Nothing but laughter in the waiting area while waiting to be served.

This team consistently checks all the boxes. Professionalism, friendly, efficiency and they keep the customers time in mind. I found this office summer of 2023 when Enterprise was out of stock, since doing business with them I just don't see any reasons to return to the competition. The Waldorf team is personal, on time and respectful among each other which makes the customer feel at ease as well. Lastly, every time I'm in the Waldorf, Leonardtown Rd location a new customer comes in with a story of how Enterprise dropped the ball. Keep up the good work!

The reservation process was not bad at all. The pick up was not bad just waited a few minutes to be helped. The computer printer was Stone Age and not very legible. The vehicle was roomy and spacious but it was not very clean. I suggest anyone check out the vehicle for cleanliness that’s all I’m going to say on that due to a concerning issue that we dealt with that was due to it not being cleaned out very well.We did call and apologies were made and a small compensation was given but this type of issue should not happen in a well known business such as Avis….Believe in second chances…..I don’t know

On Monday, October 23, 2023, I rented a car from Avis for six days and I was given a price of $273.00. I returned the car early on Thursday, October 26, 2023, because my vehicle was repaired. On Thursday morning I contacted Avis and asked the representative how much I would be charged for returning the car early, and the representative told me that she did not have that information. Upon returning the rental car, I thought I would be charged for the four days that I had it, however, I was charged $263.79. I was told that I must have initially been quoted a charge for the week, however, I was never at any time told by Avis that I received a quote for one week or that I would be charged almost the same price if I returned the car early. I thought the price was quoted based on the size of the car and what it would cost daily. The driver's front seat of the rental car has a tear in it and the car had scratches all over the body of the car. I assumed the price was reflected in the condition of the car as well. My receipt does not state that I would be charged a different rate if I returned the car early. The receipt that I was given does not reflect that either. Don't trust Avis, because they are not upfront about their charges. It wasn't until I had fully returned the car that I learned that they decided to charge me a different rate.

I took my rental car back today and the lady lied and said it was a lot of sand in the car and then said she was going to charge my card $400 for something she lied about and then had a attitude with me and would not let me speak I would not want to come to this Avis. Lady lied, told me she was going to charge my card $400 for something she lied about, and then had a attitude and had poor customer service.

Worst place ever! Avoid at all costs and save yourself the trouble. I had a 8 seater SUV reserved at this location since two days before my arrival. On my arrival a customer is actively engaged in a argument with the receptionist. Oh, and there was only "one" receptionist. I waited 30 mins just to finally check in for pickup. After giving the receptionist my credentials she gets the keys and checks to see if the vehicle has been "released" in their system. Now here comes the B.S. I am told that the 8 seater Fords cannot be released due to a safety recall. My trip is the next day early in the morning to get my kid to college with his belongings, hence why I needed an 8 seater. Long story short no other Budget Rentals in the area to include the airport had any 7-8 seater SUVs so I could not get on the road as planned.My frustration is that there is no professionalism as soon as you walk in. Also if there was only FORD 7-8 seater SUVs on the lot which could not be released, why wasn't I notified before hand so that I would have time to make other arrangements. This location is complete trash and you'll notice too if you chose to do business there!!Rent at your own risk!!

I called this facility multiple time on different days to confirm my reservation and to ensure they had the truck I requested and no one answered the phone. When I arrived on the day of to pick up the rental I was not greeted or acknowledged by either of the two workers. As I was waiting for my turn in line, I overheard the clerk mention that they were out of vehicles to the person ahead of me, who had already had a reservation, and tried to offer up the rental I specifically booked. And reason I knew it was the one I booked because it was the only "drivable" truck on the lot. If I had not spoken up, they would have given the truck I was waiting on away to another person. After getting that squared away, I went out to the vehicle, and it was still dirty, smelled bad and had a lot of body damage. Lucky, I was only using it to move things around and did not keep the truck long. But overall, the experience was by far the worst I have ever had dealing with a rental company and will probably not be using this company again.
