This is a wonderful place, with kind, deeply knowledgeable staff. I nearly despaired of finding comfortable sneakers (bunions) when I entered; I left with the most comfortable pair I’ve had in twenty years.

Extremely unprofessional the moment I walked in the door. I came in with a pair of shoes I had purchased elsewhere, said I needed to have one of my shoe stretched and asked us if that was a service they provided. I was told it was not, but that they sold stretchers. I informed the gentleman that Google had them listed as a cobbler, I apologized for the confusion, Thanked him for the information and began to walk out. It was at that time he started waving at me going “no no we have someone who picks up and drops off shoes”, but considering he had already told me they don’t stretch shoes I decided this was not the avenue I was going to take. I told him no thank you, and continued walking towards the front of the store when he started getting loud and repeated “let me explain let me explain“, which I responded “you told me flat out you did not provide the service I need, you are now being disrespectful of my time and I have no reason to let you convince me otherwise.“ Receiving three different responses each time the gentleman’s mouth opened does not give me confidence in their integrity.

I brought a pair of boots for repair of the sole tips on both boots. My shoes were returned in a worse condition than when they were dropped off. The issue was repaired fine, but the gold tips on the boots were completely ruined. On the right boot, the toe is completely cracked and covered in glue. The left boot gold tip was scuffed. Seems like a hot gun or something hot was used to try and meld the gold tip back together.
I honestly was running errands and didn’t pay attention to the boots until I got home a little while ago and I’m floored. I’ll never be able to wear the boots again and I’d only worn them once prior to taking them for repair. I would never return to this store again. The shoes aren’t repaired in-house and maybe this is what the issue is. And I’m even more upset at the fact that my boots aren’t sold by Schutz anymore, so it was a waste of money altogether. Very disappointed.

We had an excellent shopping experience, buying new shoes for our grandson. At 20 months old he can be quite a handful, yet the owner and his staff were very understanding, accommodating, and professional.
