Buyer beware. Very disappointing experience. They provided estimate >$1,500 after paying $129 diagnostic “fee”. $450 replace entire headlight assembly. $1,100 A/C condenser. They claimed they couldn't get spring to hold headlight bulb so I needed entire assembly. Took my truck & left. I bought pack of 8 headlight springs online for $8 & a bulb @ AutoZone for $32. DYI fix in <15mins. I bought A/C refrigerant/sealant for $35. TBD if it works. Would never take a vehicle to them again.

My 2009 Toyota Prius was stuck in neutral and they diagnosed and repaired the wiring well within 24 hours after AAA towed my car to their locatIon. Along with that service, they added an oil change, oil and air filter, repaired a tire leak, replaced a belt, and replaced the wiper blades. I appreciated a noontime notification call, but couldn’t take it at the time. I made several followup calls about my car’s problem and status and heard from them a couple hours later. Did not receive a call when the car was ready for pickup, so I walked to the site around 7pm. Paid my bill. Three percent service charge for paying with credit; if I hadn’t been in a time crunch, I would have dashed to the bank to pay cash. Next time I will be clearer about my communication needs. Very helpful. My transmission died and it was across the street. They came and diagnosed the problem and fixed it earlier then they estimated.

To say they are priced a little too high is an understatement. A simple valve stem replacement shouldn't be $65. More like $20-$30. Also when i arrived I was told my tire pressure light was on because I needed air. Seriously I need a mechanic to tell me that.

I always take my car here. It's my go to station for all repairs and maintenance. They're professional, friendly, and don't rip you off. Because of the serviceI received, both my son and daughternow take their cars there. My son took his car in and was given an estimate whichwas several hundred dollars less than another shop. They called to let him know the actual cost was was going to be different from the estimate he was given. After bracing himself for the worst, he was told the actual cost was LESS.!!I like that they always do a overall diagnostic. They call me, discuss with me what is critical and what can wait. Then I get to choose what gets performed.This became MyStation because of an incident years ago. I was pretty certain what was wrong with my car. I called several places including the other station on Bellona. I asked "If" this is what needs to be replaced, appropriately how much will it cost. The other station insisted they couldn't give me any idea; I had to bring the car in. I talked to Richard who gave me a detailed cost for "each" item that would be necessary; the cost if the part was new or refurbished; the number of man-hours, the cost per hour and tax. I was sold.

I think these guys know what they're doing but they are also just priced too high. Example: I got an estimate on tires for my car and they were exactly 50% more -- brand for brand installed-- than another reputable, small, local mechanic. Example 2: last year I needed some exhaust work done and got an estimate and again another place was substantially cheaper for the same work. I had always used the other mechanic (Sherwood Auto) before I moved but now they Sherwood is a 15 minute drive and I was hoping that Ruxton car care (RCC)would be my local salvation ... unfortunately they just keep coming in much higher so that it's worth the drive. I think they are upfront and honest but the times I have gotten estimates from both places, RCC was way higher. I don't RCC is trying to sell you what you don't need but maybe because of the high rent area they charge more than others do. Hence the three star rating. I have no reason to think they are dishonest just too expensive on a number of occasions. I really wanted to like these guys because they are close and friendly but I don't have an extra hundred bucks to burn on two tires for a 15 year old backup car.
