This offered absolutely no amenities at all. There wasn't a minifridge, a microwave, a coffee pot...not even a hair blower. It didn't even provide those little shampoo or conditioner bottles. I have never stayed at a place that at least offered that, and I've stayed at quite a few cheap motels in the past. The worst thing about it is that the tub didn't drain after I took a shower, and I booked two other rooms for family members and they had the same problems. I can't stand this place. It was a real disappointment since I once stayed at a Red Roof Hotel in Massachusetts and I loved it. I gave that place a rave review and since this is a chain hotel, I thought it would be just as good as the last one. Boy was I wrong. This Red Roof Plus+ deserves a less than -minus. This blew it for me.

I stayed here over a month during the thick of the pandemic. Wanted to think positively about this place, but there is no reason for the front desk worker to be so mean and rude. i only asked to switch to a different room because I found a bloody sock and a broken crack pipe in the first room. Also, the parking lot is busy with side businesses. Sure to find any drug there. however the motel only offers a broken crack pipe.

Over the years I've stayed in this location because of the ease of access to I-83 as well as the general quiet nature of the area. In the past, the rooms were solid and the customer service was decent for the price. However, it had been a very long time since I've had to use a motel in the Baltimore area. So imagine my surprise during my last visit (03/08/2023) when I arrived and was greeted by the rudest desk clerk I've ever dealt with in my life. She was an African-American woman (seemed to be in her 40s or 50s) wearing a mask and her attitude was incredibly horrible. I am considering calling the manager of the complex to complain because she was just disgustingly rude. She was not helpful, kind or in any way a good representative for the company. When I mentioned my reservation, she immediately barked at me that "check in wasn't until 3pm" - I told her that I knew that and would be completely happy paying whatever extra charge there would be because I was exhausted. Then she angrily began to process my check-in and behaved like a spoiled child with OCD. She put on latex gloves as if I were a leper or something and conducted the transaction. Then she waved in a vague direction telling me where I could find my room. This woman was a complete jerk and an awful employee. For a place that has extremely basic rooms in a post-pandemic economy, you'd think they'd appreciate the business. Ugh. Check in at your own risk. :)

Normally the PLUS in RED ROOF+ locations means new furniture and other upgrades and amenities. Not this location though. This has to be the worst Red Roof I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed in many. They are normally clean and decently appointed. No, they're not the Hilton, Hyatt, Ritz, Mandarin or Four Seasons by a wide berth, but they get the job done.I had a meeting on Wednesday morning and rather than driving 1.5 hours in uncertain traffic, I decided to spend the night in the area and I picked this place since I was told Parkville hotels were sketchy. From a logistics standpoint it made sense since my meeting was only about 15 minutes away from this property.Wow, is all I can say. People were sitting in lawn chairs outside of the rooms like you were in the Mississippi Delta or some place. All that was missing was a fishing pole and a river or pond. It was kind of disturbing. I saw toothlessness, drug tracks on people's arms and some other stuff I won't even mention. And that was all within the first 15 minutes of check-in.The room? After the front desk clerk gave me a room with no fridge and microwave the first time....then a key to the wrong room the second time....and then a key that didn't work the the third time (right room this time, finally), I was a wee bit annoyed.Walked into the room and it's a fly fest. One or two on such a hot day with a open door as I move my stuff inside I can understand, but there was at least a dozen flies in that room. You'd have sworn that was a dead body in there somewhere. Luckily there was not.I had a can of Microban spray that I carry in my car that came in handy to spray the entire room down. The front dresser had a drawer that had fallen off and was resting against the wall. I guess the engineer decided it wasn't worth replacing. Same with the air conditioning unit. The unit's cover had completely fallen off exposing all the inhaled black dust and yuck inside. I've seen units with the facade partially loose but not one that had completely become detached. The vent on the bathroom wall was hanging by a wire, which I had to push back in. Mold on the ceiling. The tub had all sorts of hard water stains and chips on the porcelain. It reminded me of an hourly motel rather than one of the same Red Roof properties that had served me well over the years. Most of the stuff I didn't even bother taking pics of. Use your imagination and stay away from this particular location.

Never been to another Red Roof in " PLUS+", but there is no PLUS in this one. Bugs, people loitering, and old rooms work non-working appliances.

This place has roaches. ROACHES. My family and I had two rooms - not next to each other - and saw bugs in each one. I mean, what more do you need to know?

This hotel is good for the price. It's located on the outskirts of Baltimore city and has countless restaurants and shops in the area. The hotel was very clean and affordable. My only issue was the check-in process to a little longer than expected. Overall, this is a good hotel.

Paid customers got locked out on 95 degree day with a dehydrated dog for 40 minutes. The staff was fussing about masks when we talked to each other via a thick glass. Sent my hubby with a mask still refuse to rekey our key. We finally checked out the hotel. Will never stay in this chain again. Do yourself a favorite -- go with la quentia with your pets. The room was not very clean either. A cockroch woke us up in the middle of night.
