Kim Clarke was a pleasure to work with! As first time home buyers, we were intimidated by the whole process, but Kim patiently walked us through, step by step. She always made herself available to answer any of our questions and explain the numbers. Moreover, Kim is very knowledgeable with VA loans and helped us work through the nuances of financing through the VA.Mortgage originators like Kim are the reason why you should choose local lenders over big banks: they are on call 24/7, they understand the local market, and they can help build a relationship with the seller's team to close the deal. While getting the lowest rates is important, there is no doubt that in this competitive market lender responsiveness can make or break a deal. We placed our offer on July 18 and we closed on our home on August 10; there were no other lenders we consulted with who could close in such a short amount of time.
