One of the best restaurants I know, this restaurant has great home cooked meals. The price is right and the serving size is generous,if you walk away hungry it's your fault. If you are in the area be sure to stop.My home town.

Second time my husband and I came in since we moved here a year ago! I don’t know why we don’t go here more often. Both times we’ve been, staff has been friendly, refills are quick, and the food is great! They had some amazing specials for St Patty’s weekend, but I just had to try the boasted chicken everyone raves about. Definitely worth the hype!

Small town county restaurant...... We were heading home and we just happened to come across this place. We had a great lunch and were very happy we dropped in.The staff were very friendly, and the food was delicious. My wife is a celiac but they did not have a lot of choices for her. However the staff was helpful in getting the information for her on salad dressing so she could have a salad. They had some nice soups on the menu but didn't serve them until after 4 pm so I didn't get to try them. They have a lot of desserts there that are home made..... If you're in the area it's worth checking out....Dietary restrictions: They don't have very much for Celiac'sParking: Street parking

Excellent little restaurant! The food is priced really well and is delicious! Some desserts are a little pricey but they are yummy! I had the Reuben and it was tasty! Oh and those little corn fritters, oh my!

If you're in the mood for fattening, greasy, and fried, sorry redundant, then there's something to satisfy you here. I liked the fried pickles, fried fish, and crab dip. I watched a customer receive a cardboard container for their leftovers and was hopeful but NOPE. What I received, AND WAS CHARGED EXTRA FOR, was a very thick, very large PILE of plastic containers not even half full, I'd rather pay extra to NOT use. I asked if there was an option, citing the cardboard and was tersely told NO. Consideration for our children's nontoxic future, a healthy environment, plastic free air, water and planet and frankly my wallet, all went out the window. Would like to return for the food but my conscience won't let me.

I recall coming here as a young woman. In 40 years, not much has changed. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you are with family. The restaurant is clean and well kept. The staff knows everyone, and goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and satisfied. The owners are so kind, and are always doing wonderful things in the community. The food here is amazing! It’s definitely the gem of Thurmont!

We have been going to the Kountry Kitchen at least once a week for the past 7 years. The Kitchen is number one in our book.
