The Dorcus Construction team is wonderful. This is our third major project with them. We highly recommend them to anyone who is planning a remodeling project. They recently finished remodeling our owner's ensuite bathroom and we are thrilled with the results. Each of their staff members is highly skilled and professional. They have their own electricians, carpenters, and plumbers on staff and use great local vendors: Nolan's Plumbing, A & S Sales, Glass and Mirror Services, and Potomac Tile and Carpet. The whole process was stressfree because they are all so good at their jobs.

Company did several projects for me. So far all looks good and work was done quickly. They only accept cash or checks so that is something to consider.
I have a few more projects so hopefully they go as well as the ones done so far.

I have had work done by the plumbing division of Dorcus Construction several times, and each time they were prompt, courteous, and skilled in dealing with the plumbing issues I've had in my townhouse. If they are not able to finish the job in one visit, they will come back a second time at no extra cost. They are fair and honest; I wish I had known about them 20 years ago!

The plumbing division at Dorcus goes above and beyond normal customer service. Brent gave me an estimate for the work and he and Frank showed up on time. Everything came in almost right at estimate. Kasey Conrad was wonderful. He communicated well throughout the entire process, was quite thorough and was very supportive. He even replaced a lightbulb over my kitchen sink that I couldn’t reach!

Anyone checking the reviews of Dorcus Construction will note the ones displayed as several years old. Their current mode of dealing with persons requesting estimates is to show up, look at the job and then leave never contacting the customer again. Common courtesy would be to decline at the time of reviewing the job site and tell the client at that time that their job is something they do not want to do. I am not the only older person who has encounter this lack of courtesy . Go with any other contractor if you want courtesy in customer relations.

If you want to be treated poorly in customer realtion Dorcus Construction is the business for you. I had contacted Steve D. to give me an estimate for a bathroom redo. He came out and promised an estimate in a week. Greater than a week later I contacted the office and received an email that he would get me an estimate in another week. That week also past and no response from Dorcus. I have since contracted with another builder for the job. Recently in talking with a friend she related that she had also contacted Dorcus Construction and had received the same discourteous treatment in never hearing from them again. As we are both older female my take can only be that the Dorcus Construction discriminates against older persons in providing service.

Dorcus removed my ugly staircase and replaced it with a brand new oak staircase with beautiful custom iron railing. They also installed all new oak floors on my second level. Absolutely beautiful! They went through a lot of trouble to keep the dust and mess down which I greatly appreciated! If you need work done look no further!Services: Install flooring

I can’t say enough good things about Dorcus Construction. Their professionalism is unmatched, their work is clean and very well done. They showed up on time every day ready to work.
