I've been a customer at Heritage Braiding for some quite a few years. My most recent visit was yesterday 04/14/21 and the Owner, Gloria braided my hair. I asked for FIVE medium braids and 4 small braids in between each medium. Well she obviously gave me what SHE wanted me to have which was 5 HUGE braids, 1 medium braid and 5 small braids. When asked why the braids are so large and differ in size, she told me I didn't have enough hair for the final braid that was dangling because it was too big (a bogus excuse as to why she MESSED up). NOOO, She just didn't part it correctly. However, I asked if I can come back for correction she coldly told me NO. I paid via CASH APP. For some reason she doesn't allow customers to pay via credit card. I sent a request for a refund and heard nothing back. PLEASE STOP SUPPORTING THIS PLACE!!!!!

Wish I could give 0 stars. I had an appointment at 9 With the owner Gloria. I texted her because no one was there when I arrived on time. No return text. So I call at 9:10 and she tells me she's on the way and will be there shortly. It sounded like she was still at home, but I said ok. At 9:28 she texts me and said she's having car troubles and doesn't know when she can come. . Mind you, I have taken my other braids out and I look crazy. It's also the middle of a pandemic so shops aren't taking walk ins and I have to be presentable for a work meeting I'm leading for a lot of people. I was beyond angry. She asked if I wanted to reschedule. I told her I was in a bad spot because I needed my hair done and trusted that she would be there and her response ( by text) was "I can't do anything. I live all the way in Bowie". I don't believe the car trouble excuse. That's like saying the dog ate my homework. Plus Uber is fully operational. And if that was the case and her really was inoperable, she should've called and apologized. And offered me something (anything ) for the hour I wasted on her. And Even if she wasn't having " car troubles " when I called at 910, she was still going to be 45-60 mins late regardless. Very poor customer service and I will not go there again. When I make an appointment, I expect to be serviced at that time and planned my whole day around that appointment. Don't go there unless you want to be treated poorly!
