I did not receive my shipment. FedEx photos show it was delivered to the wrong address. Customer service is non existent. Several emails and no response.

How does this company stay in business? They arrived looking half dead and two months later they look the same. The plugs don't come close to the density of the lush green plugs used in their ads. Last week I spent $12 at Home Depot and got two beautiful strips of sod of larger area than the $145 worth of Zoysia plugs.

I placed an order for 75 super plugs (for $97.50) and their stimu-root product along with a couple of other items. 2 days later they released a promo code where if you buy 105 super plugs for ($95.00) you get 2 stimu-roots for free! I called customer service and the lady that always answers the phone was the opposite of helpful. I asked if I could use the promo code but my order had already shipped so "she was unable to do anything to help". She also said my order was not even close to what the promo was for... what do you mean not even close.. it was the same thing but 30 plugs less and I overpaid by a lot! Horrible customer service! I haven't even received my products yet but I've now been reading their other poor reviews I'm not looking forward to it. Do not use them for your zoysia needs!

I purchased plugs in 2020 and purchased the kit and all. They do not exist in my lawn as they never took off like their website claims and how zoysia is supposed to. A lot of money down there drain. I thought the first year they need to get established and by the second year, they should be visible and have grown, but never happened. I knew when I contacted them initially and told them they looked dead upon arrival, I was correct. But they told me they can look like that but were just dormant and they would come back to life, NOPE!!

I like Zoysia Farm's website and everything listed on it. But what you actually get is not up to par. Like some others reviewed here, I ordered 1,050 of their "Super Plugs" that were to be precut. On the website they show green plugs on a nice tray precut. What we received were all brown and appeared to be mostly dead plugs barely scored on the dirt side and not cut in a flimsy cardboard tray. Most of the dirt from the sod has fallen off and it is hard to tell what side is up. I planted them all in various sizes and will see if they come to life, but I am not hopeful.I paid the premium price like many others to avoid having to cut plugs. Pretty much I received sod and had to do the cutting. I could have got some Zoysia sod local and cut it myself with the same effort for less money. 10/10 for presentation, but 3/10 for actual execution. If you can, I recommend buying local and just cut the plugs yourself.Update #1: We got all of the plugs into the ground with more effort than we planned on. The auger bits they sell to create the 3 inch holes is pretty much made for soft dirt or sand. We have clay and it tore through these bits by the end of creating 1k of holes. Those bits have 2 semi-circles and the top one is just for looks. The bottom one does all the work so it gets worn down easily. The Chameleon hose-end sprayer sold on their website is complete garbage. It took me nearly 45 minutes to use up 6 of their Stim-u-root packets at a setting of 2 oz (you are supposed to use only 1/2 to 3/4 oz but I lost patience after 15 minutes and 3 passes of barely any solution mixing with the short spray coming out). I went over the yard like 8 times as the sprayer could only shoot out 5 ft. I've had those cheap garden hose sprayers at Lowe/HD do much better. Overall, I would not do this again and just save up for someone to install actual sod. Will update in a few weeks whether the grass is actually growing or not.

What I like about the zoysia grass is that it is a very good product and it works as advertised. What I don't like about the seller of the product is that it is extremely expensive. I also did not like it when they would not give me 20% off as a repeating customer. Nevertheless it is a great product and the description is accurate. A disadvantage of zoysia grass is that it does take a few years to begin to grow and work together. But once it takes root and the plugs or planted areas begin to grow together, they do take over. I could care less if the grass turns beige or light brown in the winter because the benefits far outweigh this very minor issue. Would I buy it again? Yes I would. I think one of the reasons why the manufacturer and seller keeps the price high is because he has a limited quantity and there is only one sod farm for all of the United States. But if you live in the Mid-Atlantic or southeastern states, even as far north as Southern New Hampshire in southern vermont, I wouldn't hesitate to use this product. I find that it works especially good on poor quality soils. This is my second house and second lawn that I am using the product upon and have not been disappointed. Bear in mind that zoysia grass is considered an invasive species, but I think the benefits far, far, far outweigh any cost whatsoever. Not even a comparison in my book. That's what's stopping them from getting a five-star rating, the price is too high. What would change the scenario from a selling price standpoint as if more farmers would grow and sell zoysia grass. Competition reduces prices! Capitalism beats socialism every single time.

I've used their grass in Maryland and now in North Carolina. This is my recent installation in NC and I can't wait for this fabulous product to fill in. We have a very large maple tree in the front yard with very high roots and long roots which inhibits the growth of normal grass. Zoysia grass is the best for low maintenance and an awesome yard! Thank you for shipping to us here in NC ?

They taught America Zoysia grass. Everyone in residential USA should have it. Truly a green product. Less cutting less weeds less bugs less water use and less maintainance.

I love this grass. It does take a few years to take over a small yard but believe me, it's well worth the wait! If you want the most beautiful looking yard in the neighborhood you want to get this zoysia grass. Don't settle for any other wannabe zoysia grass or the worthless seeds sold elsewhere! Believe me, my lawn looks like a beautiful golf course. It's like a thick lush carpet, and the kids love running through it barefoot. You only have to mow it once every two week. It also takes care of itself by choking out weeds! I got this for my other yard. I look forward to watching it grow so it can match the other two yards!! It's truly amazing!!!

Company is nice enough. But I've purchased seed, plugs and the larger plugs (can't remember what they are called) twice in the last 10 years. These products are pricey. We worked hard and put TLC into the yard and have nothing to show for it. A few years after the first try, we tried again, that was when we got the bigger plugs too. I even had a lawncare expert with a degree in horticulture look at my yard a few times. I was following the instructions and it seems I ended up wasting my money and time twice. As someone else reviewed, go to your local stores and maybe even hire someone to install it. I don't think this company's products work and I will not be purchasing from them again after losing several hundred dollars with no results. I do know Zoysia grows well in this area as many of my neighbors across the street have Zoysia and my grandmother had Zoysia as well. Maybe this company's products are better if you buy from them locally.

Although I'm only posting 2 starts, Zoysia Farms was okay. They delivered promptly, and customer service is fine. But you can almost certainly find a local nursery where you can buy a few strips of sod for far less than what Zoysia Farm is charging. The plugs are very tough to get in, and require a ton of patience. This particular variety of zoysia, at least in my yard, was very slow to take, and combined with the plugs that didn't take, after two years I probably only had...maybe...slightly more than the area of grass that I had when I first put it in. I would have been much better off just buying sod for less. Which is what I eventually did, and sodded the whole lawn.Even if you're set on plugs, I'd still recommend buying the sod from a nursery for less, and just cut them into pieces. That's really all you're getting from Zoysia Farms anyway, and it works just fine (I did that on a small part of my yard that the sod didn't quite cover all the way). Just run a quick google search for nurseries nearby that have Zoysia sod, and get some delivered. It will save you a lot of time, worry, and money. And I would have bought all the sod from Zoysia Farms, but they kept putting me off...they usually won't sell sod until very late in the season, if at all, so I went with another nursery, and the lawn looks great.Long story short, Zoysia Farm is fine, and they're running their business as best they can, it seems. But their business model is kind of for suckers, and I feel like I got played a little bit. I found out I had much better options once I did some more research. Pretty much anywhere Zoysia will grow effectively is going to have some farm within shipping distance...that's your better option. If there's not one in your area, that should tell you something about whether Zoysia is a good fit for your climate, and you should probably opt for another type of grass.Good luck!

When I take care of my grass it's perfect and beautifully thick. Occasionally, I get too busy or it rains for weeks at a time and my lawn gets neglected. I'm very happy I decided to put Zoysia grass in my front yard.As you can see from the pictures there are a few weeds. This happens. At the time of these pictures I had not sprayed any herbicides or pesticides on my lawn in at least 5 years.Zoysia Farms has been great over the last 10 years. I install the plugs myself so I only did small sections at a time. I'm planning to make another plug order in Spring 2021 to finish it up. I could have finished up years ago, but unfortunately my lawn had to take a back seat to other events and projects in my life. I also will only install plugs in early Spring as I don't do well working in the heat and I think it would be harder to care for fresh plugs in 100° weather. There were a couple of years that I meant to place an order but I let time get away and before I realized it it was too hot for me.Once you place an order you will receive emails from Zoysia Farms with coupons for special prices and discounts. After reading other's reviews, I would like to add that when I received my first plugs my immediate thought was "I got a box of dirt and dead grass!" They come dormant so they look dead, but the do come back to life when the soil temp is about 60° overnight. I open the box as soon as it arrives and place them in shallow plastic trays. I then place the trays on the shady side of my house and water them daily until I'm ready to plant.

Zoycia farms has great customer service and the value of their product has been great.
