A beautiful and comfortable B&B run by very welcoming, friendly inn keepers Sharon and Chris. The inn was clean and cozy, and as a bonus, it was stocked with beverages and snacks. The bed was extremely comfortable with fresh, crisp bedding and a large bathroom (Baumgartner room). Breakfast was served at 9 am and was delicious! Chris's homemade pepper jelly is so tasty! There is plenty of juice and hot coffee. Overall, it was an excellent experience. We were in town for a wedding but we'll definitely return just to enjoy this Inn.

Every single detail in the room was in mind when they designed this place. We loved the sheets, the comforter, the pillow, the towels, and most of all the BREAKFAST. We had grilled grapefruit (first time ever), cinnamon rolls, eggs quiche, and bacon from the smoker. Unbelievable taste, and their company and conversation was even better. Before pulling in to their private parking lot have a look at the map on satellite view to see how to easily pull in to the back. Very cozy and convenient parking but first timers need to be prepared to find the little alley. We loved this place, check out the photos.

Our incredible hosts Sharon and Chris own and manage a beautiful property in the heart of Taneytown. The house is positively breathtaking in terms of its architecture and interior details. The five bedrooms rooms are spacious and comfortable.Chris is an amazing cook and loves making breakfast. Sharon knows the house on an intimate level and will glady conduct an extended tour. There is a huge backyard, off street parking and plenty of places to chill out and recharge. Sharon and Chris provide an online guidebook when you reserve that includes history, attractions and restaurants in the area. If you are looking for an exceptional B&B in this area. Don't miss Georges on York. I promise you won't be disappointed.Rooms: 5 rooms on property. All with en suite, some with king beds.Nearby activities: The Shrine of the Virgin Mary and the Shrine of St. Elizabeth Seton are a short drive, as is Mt. St Mary's College.Safety: Very safe and walkable downtown area outside the Inn.Food & drinks: Great breakfasts by Chris, and a full area of complimentary snacks and drinks at the Inn. Great local eateries and pubs nearby.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Georges on York! The house is beautiful with many comfortable places to relax. There were delicious homemade treats available along with coffee, tea, and, on the cold autumn weekend we stayed, hot apple cider. Breakfast was beyond what we expected and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend staying at this lovely B&B!

We stayed here because it was close to a wedding reception, if fact it was so close we were able to walk to the event. This is a wonderfully updated historic house. The bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom was very nice.Breakfast was hearty enough to cover us for lunch. Local ingredients and homemade jellies/sauces.Very romantic!

Had a wonderful stay here in October with my wife for our wedding anniversary. The entire house is gorgeous and the room was very comfortable. But the best part of our stay was the breakfast — homemade Eggs Benedict with crab cakes! Amazing!

Fantastic B&B, amazing hosts/owners. The location was "only" a 4 because it is located near the intersection of what seemed like 2 well traveled state routes, so the truck noise at night can be a bit much. There is a white noise machine in the room. Lighter sleepers may require ear plugs. But do not under any circumstance allow that to keep you from this gem of a B&B. Lots of interesting shops within walking distance.Rooms: The rooms were spacious and clean. Allow extra time for your shower. It feels that good.Nearby activities: Being only in town one night for a wedding, there seemed to be plenty of shops and areas of interest to explore.Food & drinks: Breakfast was amazing. The cookies and breads were addicting. They grow much of their own produce and get their breakfast meats from a butcher located behind their building. You will want to stop there on your way out of town as we did. The apple sausage was our favorite.Noteworthy details: The parking lot can be a little tricky, but trust your Maps app and not your sense of direction like I did. You will get a detailed text on the morning of your arrival giving you all the information you need.

A beautiful B&B in a small quaint town. My husband and I were in Taneytown for a wedding at the Antrim 1844, which is walking distance. The owners of Georges on York have thought of everything. We loved having drinks and snacks at all hours. Wish we had more time to enjoy the common spaces to play board games or just hang on the patio. We'll have to come back. The rooms were immaculate and the breakfast delicious. I'm a wedding planner and I would highly recommend this as a venue for small intimate weddings or events.
