The MAMAS midwives offer thorough, empathetic prenatal care and postpartum support that was much more holistic than what my previous hospital-based midwives could offer. Having their full attention and hands-on support during labor made me feel safe and strong through an especially fast and intense birth. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I had the best experience with M.A.M.A.S., Inc. The midwives are extremely knowledgeable and make sure you are comfortable with the decisions you make. My first child was born in the hospital so I have experience birthing in two different atmospheres. The midwives actually care about you on a personal level. They take the time to make sure you and baby get the best care possible. I would choose the home birth experience over and over again. It exceeded my expectations. There were so many people that said I shouldn’t have a home birth, but I’m so glad I didn’t let their fears become my own. Thanks to M.A.M.A.S., Inc., I had the birthing experience I was looking for.

I was about 12 weeks pregnant when I switched to MAMAS from an OBGYN practice. All of the midwives are incredible and enabled me to have the pregnancy and birthing experience I desired. The care model and experience you have with MAMAS is how all pre-and-postnatal healthcare should be. Mairi, Emily and Luisely got to know me on a personal level and the way they evaluated my health and helped me make the best choices during my pregnancy paid dividends when issues arose. I felt like they cared for me as a whole person, not just as a patient. The community care model they utilize is amazing and the environment is so calming, respectful, supportive and nurturing. There is also so much one-on-one time as well. They send a detailed summary along with TONS of other helpful information via email after the community care sessions. I never received this level of education, care and support from the OBGYN before I transitioned to MAMAS.Not only were they all incredible resources themselves, but they also have a wealth of knowledge of other resources that can help you on your journey. There were several things that they exposed me to that made a HUGE difference in my pregnancy and even post-partum recovery (supplements and natural remedies, childbirth education courses, PT referrals, tools to support breastfeeding, and extremely helpful apps).I ended up having very intense back labor during my home birth and I would not have made it through that experience without my MAMAS midwives. With their support I was able to power through and still have the birth experience at home that I really really wanted. They had so many different strategies to help me navigate the intensity thanks to their extensive experience. I also felt extremely safe with them every step of the way.I feel like I could go on and on about how incredible this midwife team is, but there are plenty of other very positive reviews that sound so much like my experience on here too, so please read those and if you're still unsure ask them for referrals and I would be happy to go more in depth on my experience with these amazing women.

Going with MAMAS was the best decision I made in pregnancy. Once I decided, I didn't look back. I loved the community care model for appointments plus the one-on-one getting to see the different midwives throughout the course of my care. The appointments were thorough and did not only focus on my physical health but also the mental health during pregnancy. Through community care, I was able to talk through issues that other moms were also facing (plus made mom friends that were having a baby the same month as me! Yay for future playdates). Although my birth ended up with a hospital transfer, Mairi stayed with me the entire time and guided me even while I was at the hospital (30+ hours total while having attended another birth the previous day). Emily helped me a ton with my breastfeeding journey. Even though there was a lactation consultant at the hospital, she took time out of her day to come see me and help me with breastfeeding as soon as I expressed how I was feeling. She helped me follow my instincts as a mother and gave me so much encouragement postpartum and helped me decide what was best for me and my baby. Luisely was not at my birth but was a constant source of strength and support throughout my pregnancy and postpartum. Any time I needed anything or had any questions, she responded immediately with recommendations and kind words. She also helped me ease any nervousness I had about the whole birthing process. I recommend MAMAS for anyone looking to get more personal and high quality care throughout pregnancy. All three midwives are highly qualified, caring, kind, and supportive.

M.a.m.a.s is a group of exceptionally skilled, experienced and family-oriented healthcare practitioners who make you feel like the most important family in the world. We had the absolute pleasure of using their services for education, skill-building and delivery of our newborn son, and we are completely amazed with their expertise and ability to connect personally with us. They literally mentor you until you are 100% confident in your body and mind and when the labor arrives it is all about listening to your body and doing exactly what the female body is meant to do, deliver a baby. Our health insurance covered a major portion of the cost of their services and so the cost of using Mamas was almost the same amount compared to using a hospital. If you ever had a doubt about homebirth please give them a call and let them open your mind. Let them give you talking points to convince family or friends who inject doubt into your mind about homebirth. I had my own doubts and my family was not supportive of my wife’s decision to have a homebirth, and after witnessing the hospital experience with our first son and a homebirth with our second son, the difference is NIGHT and DAY. Homebirth is normal and natural, don’t let our society convince you otherwise

The midwives at M.A.M.A.S. are absolutely wonderful! They not only are qualified medical professionals, but amazing companions and confidants in the journey to welcoming a baby. Prenatal appointments are thorough and not rushed, and care is all encompassing beyond just the growing baby. Postnatal care is frequent and truly feels like care, rather than a checklist. Beyond their care alone, the midwives create a beautiful community not only during the prenatal period but long after. We love each of the midwives and feel so lucky to know them and been under their care. I'd recommend the M.A.M.A.S. care team to anyone looking for compassionate, evidence based care, whether for home birth or well women's care.

When I realized I wanted to have a home water birth, I knew I needed to work with the MAMAS midwives team. They not only come highly recommended by our own friends but their safety and emergency protocols and relationships with local hospitals provided an added sense of security. All of the midwives we worked with are exceptional medical professionals with years of experience and a bedside manner centered in emotional intelligence and heart. By the end of our prenatal care, I felt I had developed strong friendships and trusting relationships with those who would be with me for my most intimate and challenging moments. I knew I was in hands i could trust implicitly. It was a wonderful benefit that their team helped us figure out insurance coverage for the prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. The team also hosts highly educational monthly calls with the MAMAS parents who are expecting the same month, which meant not only that I was mentally and physically prepared for labor, but that we had a built in network of soon-to-be parents. As an added bonus the midwives help to leave your home clean for a peaceful transition into new parenthood, which was a huge relief. I highly recommend MAMAS to anyone who seeks to have a safe and beautiful home birth experience.

Beautiful experience! Great option for someone who wants a natural, non-invasive birth. They help you make informed decisions. I gave birth to my beautiful son 3 days ago and my birth was everything it was supposed to be.

Thanks to Mairi and Luisely I had the best pregnancy and childbirth experience. I felt informed and in control of my birthing process. It took away all of my fear about having my first child. I cannot recommend home births and MAMAS enough. They are forever a part of my family.

I can't possibly say enough wonderful things about the M.A.M.A.S. team. I never imagined myself wanting a home birth with midwife care (my first was born at a hospital with traditional obstetrician care) but now I can't imagine wanting to have a baby any other way. I felt safe, respected, empowered, and truly cared for.M.A.M.A.S. supported us through a pregnancy loss at 12 weeks and then through a healthy pregnancy and welcoming our second baby this spring. Throughout both journeys they gave us the best evidence-based medical care, as well as the space and support to make our own decisions. Thank you!
