“Unfortunately, I'm across the country from them, but looking for a Wahoo Elemnt Roam 2, I stumbled acrosss them. They had the best price, making me google them for potentially being a scam but quickly realized they're a real LBS and read the great reviews so I pulled the trigger. Boy am I glad I did. Quick email confirming the sale and follow up with a tracking number indicating delivery the next Monday's. Well... it is the Friday before, and I just set up my Roam 2, which arrived early, well packaged and in perfect order. Which brings me back to my first remark: if they'd be in my (fairly wide) vicinity, they'd probably be my go-to local bike shop! Thanks so much guys, and if I ever find myself cycling in the area, I'll be sure to stop in for a chat, a coffee or any bike related need I might have :-)”

“I love proteus! I got my first real riding bike here, and Paul was super knowledgeable and helpful! Today, I went in to get a tune up on my bike - and they fixed it quickly while I was able to get some of their delicious coffee for the first time. It’s a local bike store where everyone who works there loves biking and doing what they are doing!”

“Fixed up a decades old commuter bike. Knowledgeable, professional, reasonable time estimate. They charged 20% more than their quote (prolly still wouldve paid, but leaves a bad taste).”

“I am a teacher at a special needs school and a lot of my students are really into riding bikes, but have trouble making repairs. I reached out to the Trek store and the service manager Sam offered to come into school =and do a demonstration on basic bike repairs. It was incredible and all of my students loved it!!!! A big thank you to Sam and the trek store, they really care about the community.”

“Thought my e-bike needed a major repair, the speedometer stopped working and it was shutting off prematurely. They suggested motor hub service and to go from there. I was pleased to find that the motor service solved the problem. The staff are friendly, the cost was reasonable and repair done within the promised time. Great experience.”

“Customer service was the best I've seen in a very long time. Every ody is friendly and personable. Cameron is a kind and knowledgeable salesman who isn't to pushy when trying to steer you towards the right bike.”

“Helped set up my daughter with a rental bike for a great ride down the Capital Crescent Trail all the way out to Alexandria (and an easy Metro ride back with the bike). Fantastic, friendly service at a great price led to a really enjoyable day!”

“I brought two road bikes in for repair. The folks at Trek were very knowledgeable and helpful. Miguel provided clear diagnosis of the issues with the two bikes. He did not try to upsell me, rather gave advice that was appropriate to my requirements. The shop said the bikes would be ready on a Wednesday, and they were! All in all, a great experience.”

“I was very impressed with my bike fitter Elisabeth. She is very professional, knowledgeable and has a client-centric approach. So, not only do I have a more comfortable ride but also about a 10% boost in cruising speed, along with more power for climbing hills. I was probably not an easy person to fit as I have long arms, short torso, and long legs with a thigh-calf ratio that is different from most.I recommend her services very highly.”

“Amazing service, quick turnaround, quality repairs and replacements. Will and the gang treated my 10yo Jamis as if it were the finest bike on the road, and they talked to me (a commuter, not a pro) without condescension. I’ve used a mobile service in the past year, but decided for community-support reasons that I need to patronize my neighborhood shops. I am SOOOO GLAD I did. The Daily Rider will be my only bike shop from now on.”

“Had a great experience buying a mountain bike at this location. They explained all the details of the suspension and drivetrain, walked me through suspension configuration and bike setup, made sure everything fit correctly, and walked me through setting up a flat kit to make sure I was taken care of.They answered all my questions and really took their time. I never felt rushed.I'll definitely be returning to this location for bikes and maintenance.”

“Dropped off my 2008 road bike for some serious work (sticky shifter, in need of new bottom bracket, chain, cassette, chainrings, cables and housing, tires). Phil was very reasonable with the pricing and never tried to upsell me on any of the parts. Bike feels great and shifters are working like new. Nice attention to detail on the cabling. Overall, a pro job on everything. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone in need of service or repairs.”

“Conte’s Arlington always has my back, and they’re the best local bike shop I could ask for! Ever, Sam, Jordan, and the rest of the crew are super friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. My most recent visit to the shop had me on a chase for missing frame specific components for a recent Pinarello frameset purchase, and true to form, Conte’s had all the parts I needed in stock. I was able to get my build completed and on the road! I trust Conte’s Arlington for all of my cycling related needs, and will recommend them to anyone!”

“Stopped by on a whim and ended up buying a bike for my daughter and myself. The guy who helped me, unfortunately, I did not get his name was so kind and patient. I even returned and donated two of my child’s old bikes. I highly recommend visiting and donating.”

“If you're looking for a bike shop that feels like a warm hug for your two-wheeled friend, look no further than Silver Cycles! This isn't just your average repair shop; it's a haven for cyclists of all stripes, where smiles are as abundant as spokes. Now, I'm no stranger to bike shops. In fact, Ivan and Ms. Linda at Silver Cycles have personally tinkered with over 12 of my trusty steeds! (Yes, I have a bit of a bicycle addiction, but hey, they're practically family at this point!) And let me tell you, these folks are the dream team of bike repair. Here's why Silver Cycles gets my five-star (and two thumbs up) approval:Speed demons: They're faster than a greased chain on a downhill race, usually fixing my bikes in under an hour. Need a quick tune-up before a weekend ride? They've got your back (and your wheels!)Friendliness on overdrive: The atmosphere is warmer than a fresh pot of coffee, and the team is genuinely passionate about bikes. They explain everything in terms even a cycling newbie can understand, and their laughter is contagious (seriously, I once saw Ms. Linda wheezing with laughter over a particularly stubborn flat tire).Knowledge that puts Einsteins to shame: These folks know their bikes inside and out. They can diagnose a problem faster than you can say "derailleur," and their repairs are flawless and long-lasting. Ivan is a mechanical maestro, and Ms. Linda has a sixth sense for all things bicycle-related.In short, Silver Cycles is more than just a repair shop; it's an experience. You'll leave not only with a perfectly tuned bike, but also with a smile on your face and a newfound appreciation for the magic of two wheels. Just be warned, you might end up leaving with a new bike story (or two) and a serious case of the giggles. Thanks, Silver Cycles, for keeping me and my bikes rolling happy!P.S. If you see a guy with a slightly bewildered expression but a suspiciously large collection of bikes, that's probably me. Feel free to say hi and share your own Silver Cycles love story!”

“Responsive, friendly, professional. I have used Pro Shop on and off over more than 10 years, and they seem almost consistently to do well on most parameters relevant for cycling aficionados. This includes a great a deal of patience explaining and researching options for spare parts, and rarely (if ever) trying to up-sell. I’ll keep coming back.”
