Update 6/2023: so happy with the new management at Amano! They’re friendly, helpful and the inventory is much improved. I now go there more frequently to see what new things they have.Previous review: I'm so glad to hear others say they've had great customer service b/c it's been hit or miss with me. Sometimes i'll get a very nice sales woman and other times, like today, my daughter and i walked in, looked around the jewelry by the front register and left 5 mins later and not one person acknowledged us. We've also gone bought something there and literally, nothing was said to us. Not hello/can i help you/thank you for shopping with us. As i said, there have been times when they've been friendly but it's kind of odd that it's not consistent.

Amano is my go-to store for in person clothes shopping. I love the elevated comfort aesthetic :) Their clothing is high quality and really cute! I always get lots of compliments on my outfits from here. Also love the shoe selection!The staff are what make this place really special. I honestly could hang out with these ladies all day. Boutique stores like this are rare these days. Shop local! Thanks for being awesome, Amano

It was the first time I shopped here and was overwhelmed by the selection of Habitat and so many more US designers, all at an affordable price. I brought a few of my skirts with me on a quest to refresh and update my wardrobe. With help from Amano staff members Olivia and Jan I had quickly amassed a pile of "yeses" and left with blouses, sweaters, and tops that will work with my existing wardrobe. Amano is my new place to shop. Highly recommend.

Worth the trip from Baltimore for interesting, unique, casual, and comfortable clothing you won't find anywhere else. Prices are excellent, and the salespeople very helpful! Thanks, Olivia!

If, like me, you're weary of your wardrobe but dread the thought of wading through racks of stuff in big soulless stores, this cheerful little boutique is for you! The staff is as charming as the clothes and accessories, the goods all appear NOT to be made in China, and the prices are very reasonable. What more could you ask for?

Amano is a shop in Takoma Park that carries the most comfortable shoes, fabulous clothing, accessories and a whole lot more. I was given the same excellent attention buying a hair clip as when I am buying shoes. Now that is truly caring about your customers.

Great jewelry selection but not very attentive staff. One of only two customers in the store and waited to checkout for more than a few minutes (3 staff at that time). Friendly when I was checking out though.
