i got my first “real” car after driving a beater for years and i couldnt be more happy with my experience! tim and his team were super awesome, fast, reliable, and tim was so honest and easy to talk to. right off the lot i had to drive cross country 2,600 miles and got there with absolutely no problems, so i cant recommend them enough. so thankful i trusted him with my new ride !

Buying a car out-of-state from a dealer you've never met before, there are so many things that can go wrong. Some of them did for me, with another dealer in Virginia. I put a supposedly refundable deposit on a car that I ended up not buying, and instead of returning my deposit, they stopped answering my phone calls and stuck me on hold forever when I'd call. I had to file a complaint with my bank, and it took almost 3 months to get the money back.
Compared to this, Tim from Mckenzie Motors was a breath of fresh air. He was friendly, honest, and more than fair with me. He was not afraid to admit when he didn't know something, unlike some of the other dealers I had already talked to. This was my first time buying an electric vehicle, and his first time selling one. I had done a lot of research on what might be the best option in my price range, and already knew that I wanted a BMW i3 after driving one locally. That dealer's price was way over the Bluebook value, and he was also pushy about financing. So I decided I was willing to drive up to several hours from Pittsburgh to find a similar one at a good price, with maybe a little more mileage on it. I'm so glad to have met Tim and purchased my vehicle from him.
Besides making the car purchase easy and as stress-free as possible, he suggested some sights to see around Baltimore since I'd never been there before. When I got the car home and had it inspected, I found out it needed an outer tie rod replaced. I was fully aware that I bought the car as-is, but this seemed odd, since it had just been serviced at a BMW dealership in Delaware a few months before I bought it. Tim put me in touch with them, and they helped me figure out that the local mechanic wanted to overcharge me for the repair. Their exact words were "I could replace all four tie rods for that price." I took it to a local BMW dealership for the repair, which ended up being about half the cost of that mechanic. That guy was trying to charge me $700 for a $150 part.
I hope this car lasts me a very long time. But when I need to replace it, I will strongly consider driving to Maryland again to get my next one. Tim runs his car dealership the way I try to run my computer tech support business, and the way my father ran his private dental practice: with the kind of integrity and personal touch that's the true advantage small businesses have over big corporations. My dad has sometimes said that most dentists are crooks who will try to rip you off, and conventional wisdom says the same is true of car dealers. I have been working for myself in tech support for over 25 years, and I received Super Service Awards from Angie's List for 5 years in a row. I do not say this lightly or very often: Tim runs his business the way a business ought to be run, and he should be proud of that. I wish him nothing but success.

The Yong mechanic that works in the garage there knows his stuff I can tell u that don't let the young age fool you u can tell he has been doing it all his life and loves what he dose and gives back to the great community and has very good xperienced in that feld he dose a great fast and dependable job for a reusable and fair price and allways gos the extra mile to help people out on the car issues and explains and shows u the stuff that needs to be looked at and fixed right away before it leads to bigger problems.and he allso tells us what can wait for a latter date and and pretty fast on diagnosis all years makes and models.he is very smart and intoned with the latest technology and up to date on the newest updates on cars and equipment

I was in the market to helping my daughter purchase her first car after going to several dealerships God let me to McKenzie Motors past his dealership every day going to work and coming home from work so one particular day I saw a car that fit perfect for my daughter which was a 2014 Hyundai ELANTRA I contacted tye dealer and immediately I received a phone call from Ramsey my car salesman. Ramsey set up an appointment for my daughter and I had to come and look at the car. Period. Ramsey was extremely helpful, polite and professional. He allowed us to test drive the car. after the test, drive, my daughter and I decided that this was the car for her. from there, Ramsey gave us the history of the car, including things that were mentioned on Carfax. He was upfront and honest, not a fast talker and wasn’t a bootleg dealer. once we went outside the office, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner of McKenzie Motors Tim, who was also helpful and nice. Both men or extremely professional from day one until we purchased a vehicle. Ramsey Hass to be one of the nicest car salesman I ever met in my entire life. He is very knowledgeable about cars and goes the extra mile to offer you the best customer service that a car buyer could actually ask for thank you Ramsey and Tim for making my daughter first car. Purchase smooth. this may be a small dealership but their professionalism is better than your well-known large dealerships. If you’re looking for used car, I would highly recommend McKenzie Motors . They not gon work with you here. most legitimate places will negotiate with you. Most used cars are going to have problems if they not willing to negotiate find a place that will.

Very frustrated. I called about a car they had listed and specifically asked if it had ever been in an accident. Ramsey assured me it had not, and that it had a "clean Carfax." When I arrived after driving nearly an hour, both the car's undercarriage and its Carfax report showed collision damage. Can't recommend.
