I have been a customer at Farm & Home Services since 2019 and recently had an incident that made me realize they do not stand behind their products nor care for their customers satisfaction. I bought a 50 lb bag of All Grain (store brand) chicken pellet feed from just over a month ago (April 30th, 2021) that I recently opened and it had a grain mite infestation. So I rang them yesterday and they told me to return the feed for a new bag and bring my receipt. Today I brought the bag of feed back and brought in my original receipt only to then be told that my receipt was "too old" and that they would not offer a refund or replacement. The lady at the register told tell me, "Well those mites could have come from anywhere!" and tried to put the blame on me. I told her I only buy feed from this store. We keep our grain indoors in a climate controlled and clean room. They even tried to tell me that I should feed our chickens the mite infested feed but I refuse because it can hurt them (allergies, inflammation also decreased feed palatability and nutrition). I only want whats best for my animals since we have them for their eggs so I bought a fresh feed bag and told them to dispose of the grain infested feed. I'm shocked because most stores would have offered a replacement or refund, feed isn't cheap. I'm also annoyed that they lied to me and I went through the effort to bring the feed back. Finally, just a fair warning they do not wear masks or practice social distancing at this store.Farm and Home Services, you have lost a customer and won't be getting any more of my money. I'm disappointed Southern States does not stand by their products. I will be sticking with Tractor Supply Company for all my homestead needs. Attached are photos of a couple of my Easter Egger chickens for attention. :)
