First I want to say I’ve been a loyal customer with Toyota passport since 2021. This is my second time purchasing a vehicle from this organization and I can’t honestly say it was a positive experience both times. Secondly, I want to mention the sales rep Ruchell, she was great! She was very attentive to me and my one year old son. While we were in her presence she made sure we were well taken care of. Also, once everything was finalized, she went above and beyond to take pictures and to make sure I was comfortable in new my vehicle. She was happy to answer any questions I needed etc! I recently change all for tires on my 2021 4runner through an outside vendor. After driving for a half day the TPWS sensor come on. I checked my tire pressure, all good, Reset TPWS, alert still on, Change tires via 4runner display, alert still on. advised the Service rep that nothing is wrong with my sensors however the onboard computer is failing to recognize/reconnect with my sensors after a tire change. I've read several articles pertaining to this fault when changing all 4 tires on the 4 runner. The dealership wants to charge me over 100 dollars for the diagnostic and another 500 dollars to reconnect the sensors. I honestly feel that price is outrageous and after doing my research this seems to be a known issues with Toyota. As a consumer we should not be held accountable for the system not being able to reconnect with the TPWS.
