I am unsure where to start. I've been getting my car serviced the past 6 years at BMW. Recently, I traded it in because it was time. I have been going through it since. My salesman Nana made a few mistakes. First was misplacing registration/title for old car. One day I get a call, saying the couldn't find it and did I bring it in. Both were given the night the car was traded in. Second, I kept seeing a car payment due for my trade in so I called the bank to see what was going on. The bank stated that they never received payoff check. I called BMW to see what was going on and they stated they'll get back to me. A few days pass, I decided to reach out again to them. Finally, Richard returned my called. Once I spoke with him, the next day I received an email stating that they aren't paying the full payoff value and I have to pay the remaining portion to bank before they can send check. I'm like so confused at this point. Never had to do that for any car I traded in. I called to try to get answers and Richard asked if I can send him my payoff letter from bank (first time anyone asked for the letter. Still confused how they came up with the trade in amount that the did) Finally, he stated Robert was going to give me a call in reference to the payoff. Robert took too long so I decided to call to speak with a manager. Robert wasn't there so they sent me to Michael W. whom basically stated it was a mistake on Nana's part however I am still responsible for it. That's the craziest thing I've ever heard!!! Move forward to today, Robert finally called stating I have to pay it and they will like to get it squared away sooner than later. I just paid new car note, the holidays just went by... I don't have money coming out my a$$. What is pissing me off is that they didn't even try to work something out with knowing it was their employee fault like nothing at all. I have been doing business with them for years now and still nothing. Us customers are so loyal to businesses that don't give a flying f$ck about us. CRAZY... I would say out of this whole situation, Richard was the one that seemed as if he cared.

I do appreciate BMW contacting me after this post to hopefully assist BUT I made the attempt to schedule a day to return and meet with management and have not received a response. He asked me when I wanted to come in, which I replied. That was 2 days ago.

Honestly, I hate shopping for cars, and this place did not help. BMW has a finance special they are advertising like crazy now- 2.99% apr for60 months. I called the sales Dept for more info on how to apply for that rate and ask whether it was good on all models. The 'sales'man was incredibly clueless and made me feel dumb for asking. He said "honestly, I have no idea.I wouldn't know that. It's more of a finance question." Excuse me? I think it's a sales and marketing question, Mr. Salesman? just check out BMWs commercials if you're not sure? Then I told him how I had been to the dealership about one month ago and decided not to buy b/c the trade-I value they offered me was so abysmal. Then, I went to carvana and it offered me $4,000 more on my trade. I told him I had the offer in writing and asked whether they would be willing to match that trade value. Again, this guy was a rock, totally uninterested in my business. He said "no, we don't match them," then he babbled something incomprehensible about why they don't. Seriously, he did not care to even answer my questions much less sell me a car. Very snobby.

Long Distance Sale From MD to Midwest--Nana Prempeh was greatWe purchased a 2023 X5 40i Passport BMW Service Loaner in July 2023 that I found online from 1,200 miles away in the upper Midwest. It had the right exterior and interior colors that we were looking for and we wanted the 2023 to avoid the 2024 LCI changes with the curved instrument display and removal of climate control and other buttons. Passport had the exact car with a reasonable discount given it had been in service for 9 months and had 8,000 miles. Interestingly, many of our local Dealers had these same service loaners in different color combinations and similar mileage but they were still selling them for MSRP. Our local Dealer had one that they dropped $5k below MSRP in May or June but then raised it back to MSRP a week later due to "market conditions". So we were interested in the one at Passport BMW.We had never bought a car online before but figured we would give it a shot with a Dealer. We searched the Passport BMW reviews and Nana Prempeh's name came up many times from satisfied customers, so I gave him a call. He was just as nice and responsive as the reviews indicated and he had me signed up for the car within a day after he confirmed he had looked it over for any odd dings or dents etc and it was as nice as pictured. Nana even threw in some all weather mats and some BMW merchandise for us which was a nice touch given we never even met in person. Nana had us work with Davaughn Paige in the Finance Department to lock up the sale with a credit card amount and the rest financed through BMWFS, so no checks or wire transfers, etc. Davaughn explained all the optional programs available in light of the vehicle being a service loaner and not quite "new". Nana also put us in contact with a shipping company that was great and gave us a quote for shipping it in a smaller two car covered trailer. We paid the shipper directly once Davaughn could release the car and they literally had it to our house (1,200 miles away) late the next day. The car came with a Maryland temporary plate in the back and it took some time to get everything flipped to our home state and get local plates issued but Passport took care of all that--all the local sales tax, registration fees and filings etc. Every time we contacted Nana to check on the status of our home state plates he responded promptly and assured us that they were on their way. All in all a great experience with Nana and Davaughn at Passport BMW. Nana can be reached at nana.prempeh@passportaut…, work 301-702-4674, cell 240-702-4674.
