I have had two pistols recently transferred in, and I could not be happier with everything. Richard and his wife seem like very nice people decent selection, not overly large. But they are very helpful and willing to answer even my silly questions.

Save your money. Brightons will scam you if given an opportunity. Instead, “RS shooting”is a way better store 3 minutes down the street near 5 guys. This guy is straight up dishonest and overpriced. Takes advantage of new gun owners entirely. My friend bought a shotgun for $1200 from him. Looked it up a few months later to find it was $270 online. Scammed almost $1000 out of an 18 year old kid. This guy does not deserve your money. Drive the extra 2 minutes to a more extensive, less expensive gun store (full of super knowledgeable and helpful employees) rather than supporting this guy. Order guns online and ship to RS if you actually want to save money. Cheers.

If you are looking to purchase a firearm, I would strongly recommend you visit the Brighton’s Gun shop in Stevensville, Md. From the first day my husband and I walked into this establishment the owner Mr. Rick made us feel liked family. He was very tentative and knowledgeable on all the questions we had on various weapons; and provide some excellent advise. Thank you again for everything.

Friendly staff, makes you comfortable to look around, and ask questions. I like it, compared to some others gun stores, I have visited. Nice place.

If I could give no stars I would. Extremely overpriced firearms, staff lacks basic firearms knowledge, ammo is still priced at covid prices, the store seems more like a guy wanting to make money of guns than someone actually interested in them. And the whole vibe of the store is awful. They seem to worship Donald trump with their decorations, I get liking the guy but you don't need a shrine to him. I've been to a lot of gun stores around this area, Brighton's I'd by far the worst. Maybe in all of Maryland.

More reputable sellers out there that actually care about their customers safety and the guns they sell them.

First time gun buyer here. Just got my MD HQL and trying to buy a gun that is out of stock nearly everywhere. Richard is a nice guy; cordial and friendly. I will say that the prices are a bit inflated. I was able to find the gun I was looking for at KYGUNCO.COM and send to an FFL for $200 less than Brighton's. I was told I would not find it cheaper anywhere however it took me 10 seconds to google that was not true. One other thing: the over the top politically inappropriate messaging in there is tacky. There are huge signs that say "FVCK BIDEN AND FVCK YOU FOR VOTING FOR HIM". There are rag dolls of Nancy Pelosi hanging dead from the ceiling. I'm all for 2A and no fan of Biden or Pelosi but really? It's all a bit much and just ugly.

Richard and Justice were very helpful and spent a lot of time with me on my first handgun purchase. Richard made sure I got a gun that was right for me. Richard also gave me a grade price on a trade. Justice was very helpful with the paperwork. It was my first time there but it will not be my last. Worth the 40 minute drive.

Extremely overpriced! I went in to purchase a AR for my wife and myself (2). I looked at some of the Rifles they had and immediately searched the value online. They were 150%-200% marked up. I kindly ask the older woman if the prices were negotiable due to it being so overpriced. She rudely responds to me that they have a lay away program ?. I was so appalled. After that we went to look at the handguns. My wife and I both were in the process of getting Handgun License. We asked to see and hold a handgun. She then has the audacity to tell us it's illegal to hold a handgun without a license lmao ?? which is a LIE! We immediately left and spent our money else where. Now keep in mind we live in Kent island right across the street. I will not even buy ammo there. They lost me as a customer! Since this horrible experience about a month ago. We have purchased 2 AR rifles from shore sportsman in Easton. 2 AR rifles from Hanover Armory. They actually make their own in house. As well we bout two hanguns and a shotgun with a stockpile of ammo. Your loss. Stay away at all costs. Overpriced and horrible service

A first time gun buyer asked me to go with him and we ended up stopping here based on the new ownership and some recent good reviews. I’m guessing most of the reviews are friends or fake (the one posted by an employee under the owner’s name certainly is) because our experience was not good at all. My friend was interested in buying either a Ruger Mini-14 or Mini-30. He approached the counter and asked if they had either in stock and was immediately told no. I pointed behind the counter and said “there’s one hanging on the wall right behind you” and the employee looked around for a minute or two and couldn’t ID the mini-14 hanging right in front of her without my assistance. She then put it on the counter and told us it was new (it obviously was not because it had a few extra “after market” accessories and showed signs of normal wear). On top of that, they were asking more than new MSRP. My friend then asked about the Mini-30 and the employee said to stay away from that gun because ammo is “rare and impossible to find”: In case you don’t know, the Mini-30 shoots 7.62x39 (Ak-47, SKS, etc), which is one of the most widely used ammo in the world and available almost anywhere. I just laughed and said let’s go. I pointed to the stacks of 7.62x39 ammo they had for sale on their shelves as we walked out and my friend just shook his head in disbelief. I took him to another store in the area and the experience was so much better. He left with a brand new Mini-30 for less than they were asking for the used Mini-14. I also dropped $1,000 while I was there because I have no will power and can always find an excuse to add to my collection, so they lost $2,000 in sales that day. I was honestly hoping for better because they’re “under new management” and close to my house, but I’ll never go there again.

I found my way into this shop a few weeks ago and I will be honest I did not think I would be welcomed within this shop. I was pleasantly surprised by the attentiveness of Richard (the Owner) and the Woman employee who worked with me. Both took plenty of time to answer my questions and make suggestions for me. I did not purchase that day as I was awaiting paperwork. But I will be going back to make a purchase from them. In today's climate it is refreshing to have people be nice JUST BECAUSE.
