AMAZING! Traveling The Great Loop-we’ve gone 6,000 miles and Safe Harbor Zahnisers is the best marina yet!! It starts with the fabulous staff, impeccable grounds, gorgeous bath house and laundry. We loved the free bikes, close to the adorable Maritime Museum and Pier. We didn’t eat at La Vela they were closed when we were there-it has an excellent reputation! Fantastic experience.

We currently live on our sailboat and the marina/staff have been wonderful. If a problem arises they work to make it right.

30% more expensive after Safe Harbor takeover, I hope the workers are getting some of that. The dinghy docks need to be repaired; simple couple of cleats and a piece of line would work. The overhaul of the restrooms is beautiful but unnecessary as they were already great. The loss of the ships store is sad, and no ice because "season is over" is short-sighted. Still a great marina with excellent staffing!

As a doordash driver, GrubHub and Instacart me and many of my friends talk openly about what a nightmare this place is to deliver to. Kim in 245 was defensive, demanding and most very disrespectful. They bait drivers with high tips and then penalize them if they can't get one or two items on the list. Which is a store's fault not the drivers. I personally have never delivered an order here which is more than 15 times when I haven't had to wait on somebody at the dock. Go back and forth with them over text with their attitude. I personally have banned everyone I've ever delivered to and many of my friends and I are filing official claims with instacart and GrubHub, especially to try to get people Here's accounts deactivated for repeatedly being disrespectful, unsafe and tip. Baiting, as well as making complaints about drivers that aren't true and saying they'd haven't received food and goods that they have. I will be aggressively pursuing any ways that I can hold the residents of this neighborhood accountable to try to keep them from taking advantage of any of my fellow drivers. you expect this with high crime and underprivileged areas? But why are the residents here as concerns to the services they use acting like foul mouth children, and tip bating.

We spent three months at Safe Harbor Zahnisers marina in Solomons, MD from mid-July through mid-October 2023. We had planned for these three months of down time to make a couple trips away from the boat and to do some projects on the boat. We found SH Zahnisers earlier in the summer when we were cruising north toward Annapolis. On our first visit we tied off to one of their mooring balls and used their facilities for a week. We found the marina to be absolutely perfect on our first visit and we decided to get a slip for our three months of down time. The facilities at the marina are second to none based on our experience cruising from Mobile, AL down around the Florida Keys, over to the Bahamas and then up the east coast to Chesapeake Bay. They offer seven individual bathrooms in the Bath House, each with a newly renovated private shower, toilet, and sink, as well as a laundry room with 3 large washing machines, 3 large dryers and a nice folding table. They also offer a men’s and women’s communal bathrooms near the pool, each having several toilets and a shower. The bathrooms are always maintained in impeccable condition. The pool and pool bar are very nice and was a great meeting place in the afternoon with other cruisers and locals alike. There is also a very nice captain’s lounge with a large screen TV and many books on the shelf for sharing with other boaters. They also have an on-site yard that can perform haul outs and other dockside work you may need done. They have a very good fleet of bicycles you can use to ride into town or up the road to West Marine, hardware stores and grocery stores. They also offer a shuttle van that will run you to any location in the local area and come back to pick you up when you are done (it runs three times daily, including weekends). The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Jim, the general manager runs the marina exceptionally well and Dave the dockmaster is always ready to help handle lines with his staff when you come and go. Jasmine, the front desk customer relations rep is excellent, always in a happy mood and very helpful with anything you may need. The location also offers very good protection from any storms and historically tropical storms or hurricanes rarely hit the area with much force. Overall, this was the best marina we have stopped in on our journeys so far and while we plan to sail south this winter and into next summer we will certainly return to this marina one day.

As you consider your fall service, know that Zahnisers will tell you they have mechanics available when they don't, draw out your work by weeks, not complete the job and tell you that they can't complete the job before spring, charge you for extra labor to put things back together without finishing, and then in the process of reassembling, break your motor, and not take responsibility for it and send you on your way. I wouldn't stop here again if my life depended on it.

Staff is friendly and marina is in great condition. We took a mooring ball and were still able to use the pool and laundry facilities and borrowed bikes to ride to town. Definitely on our stay here again list.

Best Marina in Solomon's. We came here years ago as a transient, and recently looked at it again after they were bought by Safe Harbor. We know Safe Harbor from Charleston.Having made it through Covid lockdowns, they now have a new signature restaurant right on-site. They remodeled the main bath house and new floating docks have arrived for installation.True it is not a family owned shop, but to modernize the entire marina - which was needed - takes deep pockets.I miss the pool bar, and that is the only reason 4 vs 5 stars. We are very pleased with our new home.

Family owned Zahnisers was acquired by Safe Harbor Marinas, a subsidiary of the Sun Communities REIT, sometime early 2020. I docked my boat there for the month of October 2019 on my sailboat cruise south, had my broken forestay replaced, and was satisfied with the work that was done in a timely fashion. Back from the Bahamas in 2021, I docked there again from June 1 - August 31. During these three months all they got done was the low hanging fruit: painting the bottom. My complaints to Sun Communities management resulted in them offering me dry storage until Spring 2021 at no cost and the promise to have the work done by then. I decided to take my boat elsewhere.

When you wake up in the morning and you think you're toast, because your starter doesn't work. It's really nice to have guys like this around, we called them at 8 o'clock told them we had the part on board, they're like "get over here we'll make it work", This can do attitude makes the world a better place. Within 2 hours our engine started reliably they had replaced the old relay, put in the new new one, as we carry as spares on board and we left happy. This is the way sailing is supposed to be, there shouldn't be 10 week wait list for getting stuff done we only have a 12 week sailing season. I highly recommend them next time we come up North we are definitely staying with them good people, honest one of the lowest bills in the marine industry that we've ever had. It reflected what was fair for the time spent. Sail fast and happyCaptain Richard Hughes USCG license master But what so farmers OK

We had a mechanical issue and were towed here on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, I submitted a work order. By 9:30 Monday, their service tech, Steve, was on our boat. Took a little over 2 hours, but he fixed us up good. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and diligent. Showed me a couple "tricks" and hacks for maintaining our motor. Best diesel mechanic ever! I will say that the marina is a bit on the pricey side at $2.20/ft in mid-November and they don't offer BoatUS or MarinaLife discounts. However, the facilities are top notch and the staff is helpful and friendly.
