Awesome Marina in a remote area. Not hard to get too. If you need a place to keep a boat this is a great spot. Right near the river and mouth of the bay.

I was liveaboard for a year. Staff is awesome. Management not. Matt is supposedly selling and the best plan. He is prejudiced to anyone of color and blind to women's rights as well.The marina is failing apart. Transient float docks are in good shape. However, every other dock is in disrepair. The roads need gravel, the grounds are scrub, and the "pool" is disgusting as is the baths.I had a personal issue with another slip holder and, as a woman and new there, told must leave. That other individual threatened me with loaded gun and as a friend of Matt, allowed to remain living there.Be cautious if you go. There haa been incidents of vandalism amongst slip holders as well as the prejudice as mentioned, Price may be right but not there

The area in Solomons is wonderful. There are 4 different marinas to choose from. Choose any one other than Calvert.I spent many years in and back and have no good experience to draw from. Our last stay we witnessed discrimination from owners. The grounds are is disrepair, showers moldyWe are heading norrh and will never recommend Calvert

Owner was acting bipolar. Docks are in shambles and are quickly falling apart. My wife and I were turned away due to what I only see as racial motivation due to her being of color which angered me. We ended up finding our boat a home at Spring Cove Marina. Everyone here is very professional and friendly and their docks/slips/peirs are well taken care of as well as working shore power outlets every where. They're very quick to address something, should something arise. No fishing your shore power cord around, over and under places to find a working outlet like other marinas. We weren't judged and felt right at home at Spring Cove Marina. I wouldn't recommend Calvert Marina to anyone. It's a shame that it has our great county's name tied to it's business name.
