This pharmacy used to be great to deal with but has gone so downhill over the last year or so. Very rude and can't fill the prescriptions or give you a time-frame on when they will be able to fill them.

My family has been shopping here for years with no issue but today I purchased an Apple gift card and my view on the store has completely changed. 1st red flag was that Apple gift cards are only available behind the register unlike all other vendors. When I purchased the card all went well and I received an electronic card activation receipt as most places give when purchasing a gift card. When I went to activate the card it failed stating that the code was not found. After contacting Apple support they found that the S/N or GCA number for my gift card was not valid or registered in Apples gift card database and encouraged me to reach out the store. I called and spoke with the shift lead Jordan who informed me that issues with Apple gift cards are widespread and known at this location although mine was the first of its kind he had heard about. I was informed that the store would not budge from its policy of no returns, refunds, or exchanges with regards to gift cards despite the evidence both direct and circumstantial that the card they sold was fraudulent or invalid. They ongoing issues they have had with these gift cards included people fraudulently replacing cards to steal card data, not the case for me, and gift cards failing to ring out at the register for as yet unknown reasons. Despite these issues management refused to take the cards out of circulation entirely and subsequently sold me an invalid gift card of $50. Never purchase an apple gift card here and beware of product quality in general as management has shown to be want in leaving of damaged goods for sale.

I went in to pick up my prescription. it was called in at 10 am. I made it to the store after 12. I checked in they said it's to soon to pick up that medication. I said I'm not here for that. Tthe pharmacy tech comes down and asks and she says the same thing. so I said the same thing. I said I was there to pick up a medication that was sent over 2 hours ago. she said oh you have another half an hour. I said what because I could barely stand up in there. she said oh you didn't like that time then I will bump you back and you can wait longer. I was so appalled. I said is this how you treat patients who are sick that need their medication.!The pharmacist said to the girl who would not tell me her name to not engage with me. I never did get my medication. The tech with red hair glasses not nice and Muhammad failed .

Fedex drop location but why bother carry ANY supplies like envelopes or anything? Geez.

i had two separate dosages of the same medicine sent in, but the geniuses behind the counter only filled the lower dosage. mind you i need to take the 300mgs along with the additional 50mgs. despite my doctor writing ON the bottle, “take 50mgs by mouth along with 300mgs…” they only filled the lower dosage. the next day i come in seeing if they were able to correct this, the pharmacy is closed to staffing issues. now i’m stuck taking multiple 50mgs of my medicine to create the 350mgs i need to function. it’s always something here. changing pharmacies as i type this.

My mom went to get her pain medication for a back injury and not only they were unprofessional but a color dude in the pharmacy gave her only 14 out of her 30 pills and when she went back to the pharmacy the guy smiled and told her he didn’t know where he put the other 16 pills! I mean how can he take 30 pills out of the original container and put less than half the pills in the bottle he gave my mom and not know what happened to the other 16 pills? I told my mom she should have ask for the manager or call the police. I mean we are talking about oxycodone he should be kick out of there I wonder how many other people he did the same thing to. I’m even thinking about going to the store and complain!

I am giving us Walgreens five stars. I never had any troubles with them and every time I go there what I need is ready. But for the first time what I needed was not ready. I had made ornaments for Christmas gifts. Yes it was my fault. I ordered them the day before Christmas Eve but I expected them to be done on time. When my husband got there to pick them up, they said the lady that is in charge of the photos must’ve rearranged and they could not find the product supply my order. It would’ve been nice to know up because I put same-day order. Why I’m giving them a five star review is because the ladies took the time to try to find the right exact right product but they were able to make what I needed ready for Christmas Eve because my Christmas Eve party was first thing in the morning. Those ladies could’ve just been like no we can’t help you. Sorry for your luck. The two ladies took the time to fix my order. I am extremely happy to have my Christmas gifts. They made it work. They did a great job thinking outside the box. This wall greens deserves all the positive reviews. Thank you.Bethany

The customer service is terrible at the pharmacy. I just called there and the lady who answered the phone was rude to me and did not want to answer my questions. She should not be working in a pharmacy if she does not want to answer questions. Terrible customer service at best. Everyone should stay away from this business.Update, I called Walgreens Corporate office. Less than an hour later i get a call from the Smithsburg Pharmacy saying they are now out of my medicine. Retaliation at it's finest.]

BRITTANY in pharmacy snapped at me telling me not to yell and gives me disrespectful and unprofessional attitude after all I said as “HELLO?” This was because I was ignored for a good 10 minutes and asked questions about my prescription but no one looked at me or even answered me. I felt like a ghost. So I got their attention by saying hello. I’m a combat veteran with PTSD and barely go to public places. This was a challenge for me alone and I was embarrassed publicly. I also told them I did not want to verbally give my SNN so I wrote it down. Then COURTNEY leaves it on the counter visible for everyone to read. I had to take it back from behind the glass to protect my personal information. I don’t understand how anyone could treat a customer like this. I’ve never been ignored so badly and then treated with such disrespect.

When it was just rite aid SOMEONE answered the phone. As Walgreens the avg. wait is at least 20 min. while you are 1 in the que. I fought my insurance company to be able to use this pharmacy. I'm beginning to regret that.
