They lie. No one can get your tax information from the IRS. the phone calls are scams. I have been prepared taxes for 15 years and they called me and said I owed back taxes. They said the information came from the IRS. BY law only the person that filed the return can get any information about your taxes unless a order signed by a FEDERAL JUDGE signs off. DO NOT BELIEVE THIS CALLS. Also the IRS will not email you or call you. They only mail letters out with a code you must have and your past 2 years return information before they will talk to you. THAT'S FACT

TaxGuru is AMAZING. I felt like I had a complicated and messy tax situation and based on the reviews I saw online I decided to give them a call to see if they would assist me. Natalie was so kind and helpful, and she was also very reassuring through the entire process which was great because I had really stressed myself out over the whole situation. She made it all seem easy and uncomplicated and now I am all sorted. Very grateful for such a wonderful service and will certainly be back next year!

I have had an outstanding experience with Tax Guru. I have struggled to find a tax service that would respond to my questions about my complex situation in a knowledgeable way, and prepare my tax returns in a timely manner. I've found that excellent service with Tax Guru! I have also found that their rates are comparable to others in the area, so good value for money too.

The team does everything perfectly and listen to the problems and challenges we have had during the tax year. We simply enjoy the tax process because we felt listened to and heard. Natalie Boxill who runs Tax Guru Tax Services with a very friendly multilingual team is a thoroughly knowledgeable true tax professional. She is always uptodate with her software, hands-on knowledge bank and CPA skills to give personal attention and time to every single client throughout the year. My family of four have used her services for past 12 years. She knows the IRS tax bracket system thoroughly well and has maintained A+++ rating with Maryland Better Business Bureau throughout. She also does taxes online which is a great convenience. In the course of time, Tax Guru under Natalie's leadership has grown popular in Maryland with huge customer appreciation. I have worked withTaxGuru for 2020 and 2021. Love that we are able to work virtually. The team is very professional. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because when we have reviewed our tax documents thoroughly we have found errors or omissions - either due to oversight or miscommunication (for example, an amount was never updated before submitting then I received a tax bill for the difference or revenue vs. profit amount field was not enter correctly). Also, when a question came up due to a state tax bill - little support or guidance was provided during outside of tax season. As an educated customer, I would've preferred a preparer to ask more questions to guide the conversation. I felt I needed to come fully educated in our tax situation - maybe this means I need a CPA instead. However, the team was very accommodating to our timing and worked with us to get in an extension. This was highly appreciated. Overall, I think if your tax situation is fairly simple the service will be great. Our situation is a bit more complex.

Would not recommend. Tax documents have been filed and no refunds for over an year. This was the first time using their services and have had no issue with tax refunds in the past. Unacceptable and extremely disappointing.
