I love this place! I first found Superior Transmission when my transmission conked out, and they did such a great job at a reasonable price and with such dedicated service (Gerard went into the office during a snow storm because he promised I could pick up the car that day, despite having to drive an hour each way), I have gone back for other repairs and maintenance. Gerard knows cars inside and out but what I love best about him is that he respects and cherishes them. He has kept his own car running past 200k miles by taking TLC of it, and he will help you keep your car in great shape at an honest price too. That has included teaching me how to best care for my car as well as suggesting things that should be fixed and telling me when things don’t need repairing. Superior Transmission has many loyal customers but they find time to fit you in. They are SUPERIOR in all respects — highly recommend!!

Mr. Gerard was absolutely fantastic to me regarding my Chevy. He told me the absolute truth which is what other places did not. Although I made the decision based on his recommendation not get my car fixed he has become the mechanic I will definitely bring my new vehicle for any repairs. He is definitely worth your business.

Few months back I brought in a 200k+ Manual transmission '07 Subaru Legacy with several unusual noises. The technician got me a used 100k transmission at a very reasonable price installed with a new clutch kit and shifter bushings. Back on the road with a quick turnaround. Very much appreciated.

The owner, Gerrad Woodbridge used to work and manage the Silver Spring AAMCO transmission back in 1990s In the early 2000s he opened His own shop superior transmission Silver, Spring, Mr Woodbridge , has been working in downtown Silver Spring for 35 years , is a Consummate Professional he is a perfectionist I bought in my 2013 BMW X5M for a transmission tune up but he suggested a complete overhaul. He completely rebuilt my BMW mechatronic transmission He started at 7:00 AM. My car was ready at 2 30PM this same day. BMW of Rockville has looked at it the transmission The superior transmission work was $1200 less than BMW in Rockville, I'm now driven 27,000 miles since the transmission overall there's been no problems superior transmission It's very detailed I've been going to him for over 35 years

If I could I would give them zero stars. Yeah you may be good with your hands but learn how to be good with your mouth ... customer service is a big thing to EVERY MAJOR COMPANY. I'm pretty sure a lemonade stand can communicate better to make sure to bring enough lemons through out the day lol. What I would say? Superior JOKES LMAOO. How am I gonna receive an attitude & rudeness when I want something done to my car. I called saying I just want my pressure plate replaced only knowing that I have to get the clutch assembly replaced. Believe me I know my own car, I'm also planning on not keeping it so I'm just only driving it for a couple weeks. Basically told me that it'll be pointless & i have to get other stuff done blazeh blazeh & telling me the price which is actually insane like how is it nearly taking 1k in just doing a simple job? Is it because I didn't want to get the other parts replace ? Haha that's definitely a superior joke right there, talking about there's no point in my doing that replacement & it sounded like me doing that will waste the persons time & I QUOTE "taking up my lift space so I might as well charge you more" these reviews old af. 2 years is a long time for someone to act like a dickhead. Get right, either learn how to communicate better or get put into place if you don't. Whoever spoke to me on the phone reading this, have a nice day you bum :)

First I would like to say that the turnaround time is very quick and the price was very reasonable. My initial review was just from driving it from the shop back to my house, a 5 min drive. However, after driving it for a while, upon closer inspection, I found some major mistakes on reassembling the car. Some of it is extremely dangerous for a car being driven on the road. The tie rod end was installed upside down, causing the inner tie rod to bend. The sway bar links were not tightened down. The bolts holding the strut weren't tightened, causing horrid noises going over bumps. And most importantly, 3 out of the 4 bolts that hold the brake calipers on were only hand tight. I only noticed that when front right brake caliper LITERALLY FELL OFF. I had to get a tow back and that's when I noticed the calipers were held on by a thread. I will not go back to superior transmissions for any work.

It was my first time taking my vehicle to SUPERIOR Transmission and my was decision was based on word of mouth and of course the reviews. Mr. Woodridge did a through check on what was needed to service my transmission. I am well pleased with his work. And I couldn’t believe the amount of money I saved! So Grateful. My car runs like a Spinning Top, so SMOOTH! I will definitely return for future service! ?Service: Transmission

I highly recommend Superior Transmission. Two other places told me I needed a new transmission. I found this place and took my truck there. The staff explained their process and it made total sense. After they checked my truck out the Transmission was fine. It was a TCU that had went bad. I saved thousands of dollars by making the call to Superior Transmission.

I had a great experience at Superior with Gerard & his assistant. The first time I arrived after being told by my neighborhood based mechanic that I needed to replace my transmission. I took the car to Superior & Gerard stated that he didn't hear the noise I heard previously & he said he didn't want to have me waste my money doing work I didn't need. The next week I came back with a different noise. This time he put the 2008 Subaru on the lift and discovered the noise was my driveshaft. The part was changed and I went about my way. The car started misfiring and losing uphill power. I returned to Superior again 3 days later due to the wknd, Gerard located the issue, spark plugs, coil & "bad gas". The car is working very well now. I appreciate Gerard's commitment to quality and doing his best to resolve the problem. I will definitely return for any major issues or refer a friend.
