I had never actually had my hair cut in a spa setting. I hadn’t realized what kind and pampering treatment I would receive in a beautifully and tastefully decorated environment. Mesu herself is lovely. The cut I received is as well. She knew how to work with my wavy curls and random straight patches. So glad that my friends referred me here.
Requested style: Undercut, buzzed and tapered on sides and back

Consuelo gave me a beautiful haircut! I also love the ambience and philosophy of the spa - they are so welcoming, offer chocolates, and give free haircuts to people who are unemployed and need them for interviews.

I've always had trouble communicating what I want for my haircut, but Mesu knew exactly what to do and how to make my hair look amazing. The tea was delicious and she was an excellent host as well as hair stylist. The salon has a lovely environment and I had a great experience. I will be coming back!

I booked an appointment for a pedicure and the lady working at the front desk claimed that they don’t provide nail services despite it being advertised on their website and in front of the place. Despite addressing her respectfully, she told us that we have the wrong location and locked the door behind us. The entire interaction was very confusing and seemed like blatant racism. Avoid this place at all costs.

I booked an appointment for pedicure. The lady in the front said that they don’t do nails when on their website it says nails and on their sign outside it says nails. Then she proceeds to tell us to leave and when we leave she locks the door behind us. This is blatant racism and do NOT GIVE THEM YOUR SERVICE!!! I have never experienced racism this bad. Do not give them any money.

Consuelo gave my daughter and I nice haircuts. It was easy to schedule, more affordable than some salons in the area, and I appreciated the nice tea they brought while waiting. We will certainly return!

Mesu continues to spend so much time (2 hours!) on highlights and a cut and I am the better for it. It came out beautiful and sleek.

I scheduled the $45 “dry” haircut. After the stylist looked at my hair she said she would need to wet it. I said OK but I am still expecting the dry cut price because that’s what I scheduled. Not sure if this annoyed the stylist as she was possibly trying to push a more expensive service, but the quality cut she ended up doing was haphazard and overall just awful. It was inches shorter than what I asked for (she did warn me about this) however it still looked nothing like what I requested. I wasn’t expecting anything amazing considering the price, but based on the reviews I was expecting more than what I got. I think it was on par with a cut you’d receive at Hair Cuttery and not a 4.9 rated salon.

I strongly recommend going to Mesu at Spa Mesu! I've been going here a couple years and have been very impressed. The price is on par with others in the area, but the service is incredible. I'll be moving from Silver Spring to Rockville soon, but I've already decided that I'll be making the trip out to Spa Mesu, come next haircut!

My hair always looks fantastic after coming here. Went from blonde to red this time and added some bangs and the color is absolutely perfect as well as the hair cut. So glad I found this salon!
