This is the best store to get bagels! They also have a nice selection of local products like Cava and Little Sesame hummus, etc. They have a few pre-packages desserts from DC vegan icon Sticky Fingers, they’re located by the registers.
It’s of course pricier that some other grocery stores, but they do have some deals on produce and sale items. I always seem to find a deal on Rao’s pasta sauce, for example. You could pair it with Aldi next door for a full grocery stock up.
They also have beer and wine.

I've been shopping at Snider's for 40 years, and it has changed significantly since Streeters bought it a few years ago. The produce department has improved, although much of it is displayed in the aisles with resulting less room to maneuver, Produce employees are friendly and helpful.There are more selections at the deli, most of which I'm not interested in, but the employees aren't nearly as efficient as before.The location of most of the products was rearranged when the new people took over, and that was very annoying, but things have settled down now.The check-out experience, however, is now a nightmare. Sniders used to employ intelligent adults at the cash registers. Now there are snarky, idiotic teenagers who have no idea how to deliver customer service and don't seem to care.Sniders used to be the only grocery store I patronized. Now I go there much less frequently and always leave in a bad mood.

I loved this grocery store only because of the great customer service and maintained prices of the items unlike the competitors Aldi across the cross.

Great place to shop. Always have the best desserts and treats, and have great service. Always have great things here. The only thing that makes this 4 stars is that the 3 potato salad used to be so good, but then they changed the recipe and it is now a lot worse. Snider's, if you are reading this, please change back the recipe. Food 9/10. Ambiance 8/10. Service 9/10.

Love supporting local businesses, I just moved to this area and I have to say that the produce department is small but is soo fresh also I like the fact that they carried good high end gourmet products. Support your local business.

I started shopping at Snider’s a lot in 2011. Me any friends used to send pics of the cheap eggs and King Henry’s to each other. The staff was awesome and we would chat and joke around when I was there. Most of the staff has been “let go” because Street Life is too cheap to pay them what they’re worth. Prices have skyrocketed (more than comparable stores). It still has the neighborhood vibe, but much has been lost. It’s too sad!?

This local store is amazing and is a Silver Spring icon that has stood the test of time. They have a few vegan frozen options which is cool and normally one or two nondairy ice cream. They are a bit pricey since they're smaller, but I can't beat to commute with its walkability. The produce though is so fresh and amazing every time.

Haven't visited Sniders since the change in ownership. Pleased to see the quality produce, nice presentation in deli and cleanliness of the store. Also a shout out to the wine guy and Ed for their helpfulness!

Such a cool grocery store that has a really good selection of food, wine & beer. There's not much more to say than to go see it for yourself and try their knishes at the deli counter!

Prices compete with the big chains, carries wine and beer despite being in MoCo (great job politicking and/or filling out the historical easement paperwork), and the meat can't be beat! This place is a true gem in the crown of Silver Spring (or Woodside, to be precise).

Hidden gem in Silver Spring. I can't get everything I need here, but happy to support a local business. Love the fresh bread they get in and produce it hand stacked. A lot of care goes into this place. The building isn't new and sparkly, but they shine it up every day.

Very unprofessional cashiers, rotisserie chicken was pink inside and not cooked all the way, which defeats the convenience of buying it if I have to spend time cooking it again. This place comes off as if it doesn't care.

I have been shopping at Snider’s for over 30 years. I love the staff and everything about the store! But since it was sold the store has gone down hill. The checkers don’t look you in the eye and have contact with you, the baggers aren’t there like before to help you to your car. The deli meats aren’t what they used to be. Corned Beef was tough. Now all meats are Boars Head. Nothing like before. They don’t carry things you are used to purchasing. They add thing that are not good at all (apple pastry.) The prices are out of sight. I have never looked at prices but some are just outrageous. Just sad the the Original Snider’s is no longer. I will continue to shop here as it is part of my neighborhood and I will support as best I can. Just wish they would bring back those deli meats that were what made Snider’s special!
