The customer service is terrible. I called over the phone to see if this beauty supply store had the hair and the color that I needed. The manager lied and told me about the inventory and they did not have what I needed. Furthermore, the manager stated that he could not tell me the price of the products over the phone and I had to come in to see the price. Overall the customer service and the store is terrible as well as on the phone.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! I have a been patron there prior to them moving to this new location. I live downtown and it is literally across the street. I have always been pleasant and asked for help. I usually spend no less than $80 during each visit so I would think they would recognize me. Not sure if it is an ethnicity thing or not but they will barely speak and will follow you or have other workers follow you, in which, I ignored. I have not experienced something like this since I was a teenager in Asian owned beauty supply stores and stopped patronizing due to this and I am now 37. I went in to purchase two scarfs for my daughter and I and was immediately asked if I needed help. I said yes, and asked where the scarfs were and she showed me. I spent all of 5 -10 min looking through the different designs because there were so many and they were stacked on each other and were not organized at all. Each time I touched one, they fell and of course, I picked them up. I’m guessing after this happening so many times and because I took “to long”, I notice what may be the owner (woman of African descent) walked back, not to help me but to ensure that I wasn’t stealing. She wasn’t very conspicuous at all. I mean the store and the isles are very small and it isn’t very organized. Honestly, I was very offended. Even though I really wanted the scarfs, I placed the scarfs back and left. It’s kinda ironic when foreigners are given the opportunity to have a business here yet are very discriminatory to the same people/country whom is giving the opportunity and supporting their businesses. Very disappointing. I thought we moved past this? I’m sure if you decluttered and organized your store so that patrons could see what they were getting, you would minimize the instance of following and offending customers who are more than capable of purchasing a $5 scarf. Anywho, I’ll be ordering what I need from Amazon ??♀️

Wow! Huge supply of hair accessories, extensions, wigs, hair products and beauty supplies. Everyone was really nice that worked there. The one guy even brought me a shopping basket as my hands were getting full. Smart and thoughtful. I was referred to this store and so pleased we checked it out. There is parking and also a Safeway across the street.

This is my second time coming to this beauty supply store. As soon as I entered, a man who worked there told me from the back of the store to drop my bags on the floor. I couldn't fully hear him so I thought, like other beauty supply and department stores, I was supposed to exchange my bag for a ticket so I went to give the bags to the woman at the cash register. He then came up and said no, to drop them on the floor. I personally do not like putting my bags on the floor but I obliged. I then went to an aisle to look for the item I wanted, Ambi face daily moisturizer. As I was looking, he walked around the aisle and went to stand by me with his arms crossed. He asked, "Do you need help?" in a rude tone. And I told him no, I was looking for a lotion. He continued to stand right by me with his arms crossed, just staring. Mind you, there were at least 3 or 4 other people in the store of a different nationality, although we were all black. Yet as an African American woman, I was the only person being guarded like this. I felt targeted as a potential thief from the moment I walked in, and while they did not have what I was looking for, I wouldn't have bought it because of the treatment I received. As a young professional, I felt personally offended by this behavior. I do not support prejudiced businesses, and this is uncalled-for behavior. I strongly recommend that people rethink buying from here if this is the treatment customers will receive. There are other beauty supply stores in the area, and people do not need this kind of treatment when trying to buy items for haircare, skincare, etc.

This beauty supply store is an absolute gem! The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always going above and beyond to help me find exactly what I need. The store is beautifully organized, making it easy to navigate and find products. They have a wide range of brands and products for every beauty need. The quality of their products is outstanding, and the prices are reasonable. I also appreciate their commitment to cleanliness and safety. Overall, this store is a must-visit for all your beauty needs. You won’t be disappointed!

this was my 2nd time & final time at this establishment & i must say the employees at this establishment are very racist & prejudice towards the african american community. one of the employees followed me around the store even after i declined his help. i questioned him & asked “are you gonna follow me around the store?” the “security guard” then replied back “oh she got an attitude” staff is rude & disrespectful . would never visit again

I came here for the first time today just to buy some hair gel but I also wanted to buy face cream but the guy in the back followed me and stared at me so much that he made me feel so uncomfortable I couldn’t shop in peace, so I just got the gel. The lady in the front was on the phone, the whole time and extremely aggressive. She slammed the gel on the table when bagging it up I was so confused. I’m willing to drive farther and spend extra money elsewhere than to ever come back here.

I have purchased large bars of black soap from this location multiple times paid about $5/$6 now they are up to $8 and the person working went back and forth with me about the price hike. I decided to leave it in the store and will shop around. Tired of companies thinking they can do whatever and screw over the customers.

I was followed and watched as soon as I went in, so I decided to leave. I won't spend my money at a place that chooses to profile me. No offer of help, just surveillance. A shame as it is near my new place and I certainly would have been a repeat customer.

Makes me sad to write a negative review for a black owned business, but that’s how disappointing the experiences I’ve had have been. The shop is ridiculously expensive, a lot of products are close to double the average cost. I was in need of lip liner which clearly said it’s $1.99 each n yet when I got to the register my total was off. She originally said it was $2 each and it was the 6% tax that made it higher. Then later goes these are $2.99. After debate she shrugs n says this is what it is. Obviously 2.99 is still a good price but their ethics really turned me off. They also are standoffish which is so strange as they weren’t like this at their other location on Bonifant. They even changed their return policy to none accepted. This was my last time going.

Drove all the way from VA just for them to close earlier than the time says on the door. A lady walked out saying they’re closed when she could’ve went back in and helped me out as I already knew what I needed. I won’t ever come back here. Bad business!!
