LaToya @ Posh Hair Studio at The Veridian in Silver Spring, MD is the best hairdresser I've ever had! She is especially talented at cutting, dyeing, and styling hair, but the best part is that she is very knowledgeable about hair and looks after her clients' hair health. If you live in the DMV, definitely try this salon!

She gave me a mullet. I had to pay for a second haircut and cut all my hair short to even it out. The second hairdresser I went to also remarked on how badly she cut my hair. It will take years to grow it back out. I cried after the haircut.

LaToya did my hair and it's the first stylist to ever be open to working with its natural wave/curl than want to flat iron it. She was able to accommodate a same day appointment, the space was very clean and cute, and she was lovely to talk with! Thanks for the cute cut, lady!

LaToya is an amazing artist!! She recently colored my hair, cut and styled. I left feeling like a new woman, empowered and beautiful :). The price was extremely reasonable. I haven’t colored my hair in 21 years and it is fun to experience the special sparkle highlights create.. very important as I turned 50 this year and appreciate the glow :). Thx LaToya :)!!!

I went to Latoya after a neighbor recommended her (it turns out that 4 other neighbors go to her too). I usually don't do much with my hair but I wanted a change and decided to get highlights for the first time. Naturally I was really nervous because I love my hair and I don't want it to look crazy. I am latina and have naturally dark brown hair. Latoya talked to me for about 30 minutes and we looked at pictures together of what I wanted to aim for. I appreciated this so much since it was my first time!!! I have gone back to her several times to keep my highlights updated and to get haircuts. I love it!! She does great work!

If you don't know about Latoya, you should because she's a great stylist! I came to her with a balayage that was half-way grown out and needed help. I provided a photo for color and cut concepts, and she was able to intuitively take my ideas, make slight modifications, and give me a spot on style that I was very pleased with. The color was a deep red, almost plum, and the cut was perfect. She's also a great listener and very cool. I plan on making her my regular stylist in the future.
