I am incredibly frustrated with the app software to book an appointment. I always book with the same groomer, Brandon. The listing of groomers on the team shows that he is still working there but didn’t have any availability for the next few weeks. So I booked my appointment with another groomer, assuming that he has taken some time off. When I arrived for my appointment today, my favorite groomer Brandon was there. I mentioned to him about my last booking experience and he said that it has been an ongoing issue.Petsmart, please fix this glitch! Brandon and everyone on the team are incredible, and should each have an equal opportunity to be selected.Please fix this glitch!!!

The sales specialists were helpful in finding the item we needed in the store, however they only have forklift staff on duty in the mornings so unfortunately we weren’t able to purchase the main thing we came there for. Instead we got a few reptile tank decorations and mulch bedding.

I’m only giving one star when they really deserve zero. But management was very nice.But I took my dog for a grooming to this location due to the one near me being booked. His appointment was 9:30am. They had my dog until 12pm. Toye Wright, groomed my dog and had him looking crazy. I have had my dog for 8 years and NEVER has he been stressed, he was drooling excessively, nails were NOT cut, private area was NOT cut, legs weren’t trimmed and he had a mane that was NOT asked for. I told them to cut him down to a #5 which is a little longer than the #7 I usually do. I paid extra money for the new “luxury” service and have NOTHING to show for it, no pumpkin shampoo and no bandana.Management did refund my money, which I am really happy about, so my issue is not with them. What makes things worse, I had tipped Toye prior to me seeing my dog since they were very busy and I just wanted to get my dog and go. I requested my money back and Toye declined it. I only noticed how bad his cut was when I walked out. But since Toye said my dog was stressed the whole time and drooling, I didn’t want to take him back inside. I will be talking to corporate about my experience.I had to take my dog to the Petsmart in Laurel, so that they can better assist my dog! Even the worker at that location was confused on Toye’s “work”. I will NEVER go back to the Petsmart in Silver Spring and I will make sure EVERY one knows not to have Toye Wright touch or even look at their pet!

I buy my kitty litter and several varieties of catfood at PetSmart. Most of the food is prescription kidney diet canned food for my 17 yr old cat . I believe the kidney diet is helping my cat live longer and feel better. She certainly likes the taste of PetSmart food.My favorite thing about the store is petting customers' dogs, big and small. And I love seeing the groomers, and the cute expressions on the dogs' faces when they're being groomed.

This PetSmart has been a lifeline for me. I use a specific type of liter box for my cat and can never find the liter I need at their competitor. So much so that I usually just come here as this location always has a liter that I can use. I usually always do the same thing when I'm in here. I go check out the cats up for adoption, but I always plan this for after adoption hours or I might end up with another cat. Then I make my way back to the cat section, grab my liter and then browse through the rest of the cat stuff. I will take my time and usually go down the aquarium aisle, but never buy there either. Make my way to the register and I always seem to get the same employee there. She is always nice and has the best customer service. I always end up purchasing whatever they have going for the nearby shelter and then be on my way.

I thought I got away from Petsmart's sub-standard customer service when I switched from the Bethesda location to the Calverton/Silver Spring location, but I was wrong. At Bethesda, a manager at the Pet Hotel defended his sociopathic associate after she refused to feed my dog for five days while I was in the Dominican Republic. Her excuse was the food I provided was "rotten," and I elected to not use the food provided by the store. Nobody contacted me, they just starved my dog. Now, after bringing my dog to the grooming salon at Calverton for years with no problem, in April, an entitled groomer named Cynthia cut off my schnauzer's beard after reading the instructions on his account which state, "Do Not touch his beard," not even to trim. She acknowledged the notes with me prior to receiving him and did what she wanted anyway. Then when trying to make an appointment for him in June with another groomer, an associate named Jairo and Renee played games on the phone stating that they are both managers and that my dog can only be groomed by the salon manager, Shi. Shi has groomed my dog before with no problem, but now suddenly, she says none of the other groomers want to work with my dog, coincidentally after the appointment where a groomer cut off his beard, and I was given a full refund. When pressed for details, Shi danced around the issue and refused to answer any of my questions or explain the shenanigans with Jairo and Renee. When I told her I already filed a complaint with the corporate office, she abruptly said one of the groomers told her my dog tried to bite them. Lies! Somehow, everyone forgot to mention this important detail in the four years I've been bringing him to the salon. I have yet to hear back from the corporate office. No need. There is nothing they can say or do to regain my business - like they care... Now, I know the poor customer service and lack of integrity demonstrated by this company have nothing to do with location - it starts at the top.

PetSmart employees are knowledgeable and super friendly. The even let my daughter and I hold several reptiles and gave us printed information on them. The store is clean and they have every product you can think of.

Reptiles do not appear to be well cared for. We saw a sad gecko shedding flakes. Otherwise store seems fine.
